¹ And the high priest said, "Are these things so?"

⁶¹ said, "This Man, said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.'" ⁶² And the high priest, standing up, said to Him, "Answerest Thou nothing? What are these testifying against Thee?"

⁵⁸ "We heard Him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.'" ⁵⁹ And not even so did their testimony agree. ⁶⁰ And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, "Dost Thou answer nothing? What do these testify against Thee?"

¹⁹ The high priest, therefore, asked Jesus concerning His disciples, and concerning His teaching. ²⁰ Jesus answered, "I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jews assemble together; and in secret I spake nothing. ²¹ Why do you ask Me? Ask those who have heard, what I spake to them; behold, they know the things which I said."

³³ Pilate, therefore, entered again into the Praetorium, and called Jesus, and said to Him, "Art Thou the King of the Jews?" ³⁴ Jesus answered, "Do you say this of yourself, or did others tell you concerning Me?" ³⁵ Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Thy own nation, and the high priests delivered Thee up to me: what didst Thou do?"
