¹ And the angel that spoke in me came again: and he waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

⁵ And he cast himself down, and slept in the shadow of the juniper tree: and behold an angel of the Lord touched him, and said to him: Arise and eat. ⁶ He looked, and behold there was at his head a hearth cake, and a vessel of water: and he ate and drank, and he fell asleep again. ⁷ And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said to him: Arise, eat: for thou hast yet a great way to go.

²⁶ Upon this I was as it were awaked out of a sleep, and I saw, and my sleep was sweet to me.

¹⁸ And when he spoke to me, I fell flat on the ground: and he touched me, and set me upright.

⁸ And I, being left alone, saw this great vision: and there remained no strength in me, and the appearance of my countenance was changed in me, and I fainted away, and retained no strength. ⁹ And I heard the voice of his words: and when I heard I lay in a consternation upon my face, and my face was close to the ground. ¹⁰ And behold a hand touched me, and lifted me up upon my knees, and upon the joints of my hands.

⁹ And I said: What are these, my lord? and the angel that spoke in me, said to me: I will shew thee what these are:

¹³ And the Lord answered the angel, that spoke in me, good words, comfortable words.

¹⁹ And I said to the angel that spoke in me: What are these? And he said to me: These are the horns that have scattered Juda, and Israel, and Jerusalem.

³ And behold the angel that spoke in me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him.

⁶ And the angel of the Lord protested to Jesus, saying: ⁷ Thus saith the Lord of hosts: If thou wilt walk in my ways, and keep my charge, thou also shalt judge my house, and shalt keep my courts, and I will give thee some of them that are now present here to walk with thee.

³² But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep. And waking, they saw his glory and the two men that stood with him.

⁴⁵ And when he rose up from prayer and was come to the disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow. ⁴⁶ And he said to them: Why sleep you? Arise: pray: lest you enter into temptation.
