¹ Let brotherly love abide.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that you should love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. ³⁵ By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love among one another.”

¹⁷ These things I command you, that you love one another.

¹ And during the arriving of the day of Pentecost, they were all together in one place.

⁴⁴ And all those having believed were together the same, and having all things in common. ⁴⁵ And they were selling the possessions and the goods, and were dividing them to all, as anyone had need. ⁴⁶ And every day they were steadfastly continuing with one accord in the temple and breaking bread at each house. They were partaking of food with gladness and sincerity of heart,

³² Now the multitude of those having believed were one in heart and soul, and not one claimed anything of that which he possesses to be his own, but all things were theirs in common.

⁹ Let love be unfeigned: abhorring evil, cleaving to good, ¹⁰ devoted to one another in brotherly love, esteeming one another in honor,

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any power, but only faith working through love.

¹³ For you brothers were called to freedom, but not the freedom for an opportunity to the flesh. Rather, serve one another through love.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

³ being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace;

² and walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God, into an aroma of a sweet smell.

¹ Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and compassions, ² fulfill my joy so that you may be of the same mind, having the same love, united in soul, minding the same thing, ³ nothing according to self-interest or according to vain conceit, but in humility be esteeming one another surpassing themselves,

⁹ Now concerning brotherly love, you have no need for me to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God in order to love one another. ¹⁰ And indeed you are doing this toward all the brothers, the ones in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, to abound more and more,

³ We ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, just as it is fitting, because your faith is increasing exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all to one another is abounding,

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your work and the love that you have shown toward His name, having ministered to the saints, and still ministering. ¹¹ And we desire each of you to show the same earnestness, toward the full assurance of the hope unto the end,

²⁴ And we should think toward stirring up one another to love and to good works,

²² Having purified your souls in obedience to the truth unto sincere brotherly love, love one another fervently, out of a pure heart,

¹⁷ Honor everyone: love the brotherhood, fear God, Honor the king.

⁸ Now the end: All be single-minded, sympathetic, loving as brothers, tender-hearted, humble,

⁸ above all things, having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers over a multitude of sins,

⁷ and into godliness brotherly affection, and into brotherly affection love.

⁹ The one claiming to be in the light and hating his brother is in the darkness even until now. ¹⁰ The one loving his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

¹⁰ Through this, the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: anyone not practicing righteousness is not of God, and also the one not loving his brother. ¹¹ For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, ¹² not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his works were evil, but those of his brother, righteous. ¹³ And do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you. ¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. The one not loving abides in death. ¹⁵ Everyone hating his brother is a murderer; and you know that any murderer does not have eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ By this we have known love, because He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. ¹⁷ Now whoever might have the world’s goods, and might see his brother having need, and might close up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? ¹⁸ Little children, we should love not in word, nor in tongue, but in action and in truth.

²³ And this is His commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and we should love one another, just as He gave the commandment to us.

⁷ Beloved, we should love one another, because love is from God; and everyone loving has been born from God and knows God. ⁸ The one not loving has not known God, because God is love. ⁹ In this the love of God has been revealed among us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son as a propitiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

²⁰ If anyone should say, “I love God,” and should hate his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother, whom he has seen, is not able to love God, whom he has not seen.

⁵ And now I implore you, lady, not as though I am writing to you a new commandment, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we should love one another. ⁶ And this is love, that we should walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.

⁴ But I have against you that you have abandoned your first love.
