MLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁸ Domestic servants, be subject to your masters in all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the crooked. ¹⁹ For this is grace, if anyone undergoes sorrows, suffering wrongfully because of his consciousness of God. ²⁰ For what credit is it, if, when you are sinning and are battered for it, you will be enduring it? But if, when you are doing good and are suffering for it, you will be enduring it; this is grace with God. ²¹ For you were called into this, because Christ also suffered on our behalf, leaving a model for you, in order that you should follow after his footprints.
