1 For every high priest taken from among men, is appointed to perform for men the things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2 being able to have a right measure of compassion on the ignorant and erring: because he himself, also, is surrounded with infirmity.
3 And for that reason he must, as for the people, so, also, for himself, offer sacrifices for sins.
4 Now, as no one takes this honor to himself, but he who is called of God, as Aaron was;
5 so, also, Christ did not assume to himself the honor of being a High Priest: but he who said to him, "Thou art my Son, today I have begotten thee"-
