2 H559 ויאמר commanded H1732 דויד And David H3664 לכנוס to gather together H853 את H1616 הגרים the strangers H834 אשׁר that H776 בארץ in the land H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H5975 ויעמד and he set H2672 חצבים masons H2672 לחצוב to hew H68 אבני stones H1496 גזית wrought H1129 לבנות to build H1004 בית the house H430 האלהים׃ of God.

3 H1270 וברזל iron H7230 לרב in abundance H4548 למסמרים for the nails H1817 לדלתות for the doors H8179 השׁערים of the gates, H4226 ולמחברות and for the joinings; H3559 הכין prepared H1732 דויד And David H5178 ונחשׁת and brass H7230 לרב in abundance H369 אין without H4948 משׁקל׃ weight;

4 H6086 ועצי trees H730 ארזים Also cedar H369 לאין in abundance: H4557 מספר in abundance: H3588 כי for H935 הביאו brought H6722 הצידנים the Zidonians H6876 והצרים and they of Tyre H6086 עצי wood H730 ארזים cedar H7230 לרב much H1732 לדויד׃ to David.

5 H559 ויאמר said, H1732 דויד And David H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H1121 בני my son H5288 נער young H7390 ורך and tender, H1004 והבית and the house H1129 לבנות to be built H3068 ליהוה for the LORD H1431 להגדיל magnifical, H4605 למעלה exceeding H8034 לשׁם of fame H8597 ולתפארת and of glory H3605 לכל throughout all H776 הארצות countries: H3559 אכינה make preparation H4994 נא I will now H3559 לו ויכן prepared H1732 דויד for it. So David H7230 לרב abundantly H6440 לפני before H4194 מותו׃ his death.

6 H7121 ויקרא Then he called H8010 לשׁלמה for Solomon H1121 בנו his son, H6680 ויצוהו and charged H1129 לבנות him to build H1004 בית a house H3068 ליהוה for the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

7 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דויד And David H8010 לשׁלמה to Solomon, H1121 בנו My son, H589 אני as for me, H1961 היה it was H5973 עם in H3824 לבבי my mind H1129 לבנות to build H1004 בית a house H8034 לשׁם unto the name H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהי׃ my God:

8 H1961 ויהי came H5921 עלי to H1697 דבר But the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H559 לאמר me, saying, H1818 דם blood H7230 לרב abundantly, H8210 שׁפכת Thou hast shed H4421 ומלחמות wars: H1419 גדלות great H6213 עשׂית and hast made H3808 לא thou shalt not H1129 תבנה build H1004 בית a house H8034 לשׁמי unto my name, H3588 כי because H1818 דמים blood H7227 רבים much H8210 שׁפכת thou hast shed H776 ארצה upon the earth H6440 לפני׃ in my sight.

9 H2009 הנה Behold, H1121 בן a son H3205 נולד shall be born H1931 לך הוא to thee, who H1961 יהיה shall be H376 אישׁ a man H4496 מנוחה of rest; H5117 והנחותי and I will give him rest H3605 לו מכל from all H341 אויביו his enemies H5439 מסביב round about: H3588 כי for H8010 שׁלמה Solomon, H1961 יהיה shall be H8034 שׁמו his name H7965 ושׁלום peace H8253 ושׁקט and quietness H5414 אתן and I will give H5921 על unto H3478 ישׂראל Israel H3117 בימיו׃ in his days.

10 H1931 הוא He H1129 יבנה shall build H1004 בית a house H8034 לשׁמי for my name; H1931 והוא and he H1961 יהיה shall be H1121 לי לבן my son, H589 ואני and I H1 לו לאב his father; H3559 והכינותי and I will establish H3678 כסא the throne H4438 מלכותו of his kingdom H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5704 עד forever. H5769 עולם׃ forever.

11 H6258 עתה Now, H1121 בני my son, H1961 יהי be H3068 יהוה the LORD H5973 עמך with H6743 והצלחת thee; and prosper H1129 ובנית thou, and build H1004 בית the house H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God, H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דבר he hath said H5921 עליך׃ of

12 H389 אך Only H5414 יתן give H3068 לך יהוה the LORD H7922 שׂכל thee wisdom H998 ובינה and understanding, H6680 ויצוך and give thee charge H5921 על concerning H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H8104 ולשׁמור that thou mayest keep H853 את H8451 תורת the law H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיך׃ thy God.

13 H227 אז Then H6743 תצליח shalt thou prosper, H518 אם if H8104 תשׁמור thou takest heed H6213 לעשׂות to fulfill H853 את H2706 החקים the statutes H853 ואת H4941 המשׁפטים and judgments H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה charged H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 את H4872 משׁה Moses H5921 על with concerning H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H2388 חזק be strong, H553 ואמץ and of good courage; H408 אל not, H3372 תירא dread H408 ואל nor H2865 תחת׃ be dismayed.

15 H5973 ועמך with H7230 לרב thee in abundance, H6213 עשׂי H4399 מלאכה of work. H2672 חצבים hewers H2796 וחרשׁי and workers H68 אבן of stone H6086 ועץ and timber, H3605 וכל and all manner H2450 חכם of cunning men H3605 בכל for every manner H4399 מלאכה׃

16 H2091 לזהב Of the gold, H3701 לכסף the silver, H5178 ולנחשׁת and the brass, H1270 ולברזל and the iron, H369 אין no H4557 מספר number. H6965 קום Arise H6213 ועשׂה and be doing, H1961 ויהי be H3068 יהוה and the LORD H5973 עמך׃ with

17 H6680 ויצו also commanded H1732 דויד David H3605 לכל all H8269 שׂרי the princes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H5826 לעזר to help H8010 לשׁלמה Solomon H1121 בנו׃ his son,

18 H3808 הלא not H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H5973 עמכם with H5117 והניח you? and hath he given you rest H5439 לכם מסביב on every side? H3588 כי for H5414 נתן he hath given H3027 בידי into mine hand; H853 את H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H776 הארץ of the land H3533 ונכבשׁה is subdued H776 הארץ and the land H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD, H6440 ולפני and before H5971 עמו׃ his people.

19 H6258 עתה Now H5414 תנו set H3824 לבבכם your heart H5315 ונפשׁכם and your soul H1875 לדרושׁ to seek H3068 ליהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God; H6965 וקומו arise H1129 ובנו therefore, and build H853 את H4720 מקדשׁ ye the sanctuary H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 האלהים God, H935 להביא to bring H853 את H727 ארון the ark H1285 ברית of the covenant H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H3627 וכלי vessels H6944 קדשׁ and the holy H430 האלהים of God, H1004 לבית into the house H1129 הנבנה that is to be built H8034 לשׁם to the name H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
