Acts 1:1-16

Goodspeed(i) 1 In my first volume, Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught from the beginning 2 until the day when through the holy Spirit he gave the apostles he had chosen their instructions, and was taken up to heaven. 3 He had shown himself alive to them after he had suffered, in many convincing ways, appearing to them through forty days, and telling them about the Kingdom of God. 4 And once when he ate with them, he instructed them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised.
