Acts 2:24-32

Godbey(i) 24 whom God raised up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was impossible that he should be held by it. 25 For David says in reference to him, I foresaw my Lord always before me, because he is on my right hand, in order that I may not be moved. 26 Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue was glad, and my flesh shall indeed still rest in hope, 27 because thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. 28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt fill me with gladness with thy countenance. 29 Men, brethren, it is lawful to speak to you with boldness concerning the patriarch David, because he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet and knowing that God swore with an oath, that from the fruit of his loins One should sit upon the throne; 31 foreseeing he spoke concerning the resurrection of Christ, that He was not left in Hades, neither did His flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God raised up, whose witnesses we are.
