THE SICKNESS OF YECHIZQI YAH
In those days Yechizqi Yah is sick unto death: and the prophet Yesha Yah the son of Amos comes to him and says to him, Thus says Yah Veh, Misvah concerning your house for you die and live not. 2 And he turns his face to the wall and prays to Yah Veh, saying, 3 I beseech you, O Yah Veh, remember, I pray you, how I walked at your face in truth and with a heart at shalom and worked good in your eyes! - and Yechizqi Yah weeps a great weeping. 4 And so be it, ere Yesha Yah goes midst the city, the word of Yah Veh comes to him, saying, 5 Turn back and say to Yechizqi Yah, the eminent of my people, Thus says Yah Veh, Elohim of David your father, I hear your prayer; I see your tears; behold, I heal you: on the third day, ascend to the house of Yah Veh: 6 and I add fifteen years to your days; and I rescue you and this city from the palm of the sovereign of Ashshur: and I garrison this city for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David. 7 And Yesha Yah says, Take a cake of figs. - and they take and set it on the ulcer and he enlivens. 8 And Yechizqi Yah says to Yesha Yah, What is the sign that Yah Veh heals me and I ascend into the house of Yah Veh the third day? 9 And Yesha Yah says, This is your sign of Yah Veh that Yah Veh works the word he worded: that the shadow go forward ten degrees, or turns back ten degrees. 10 And Yechizqi Yah says, It is a trifle that the shadow spread ten degrees: no, but have the shadow turn back ten degrees. 11 And Yesha Yah the prophet calls to Yah Veh: and he turns back the shadow ten degrees by the degrees it descends in the degrees of Achaz. 12
THE BABEL ENVOYS
At that time Berodach Bel Adoni, the son of Bel Adan sovereign of Babel sends scrolls and an offering to Yechizqi Yah: for he hears Yechizqi Yah is sick: 13 and Yechizqi Yah hearkens to them and has them see all the house of his spicery - the silver and the gold and the spices and the best ointment and all the house of his instruments and all they find in his treasures - neither word in his house nor in all his reign that Yechizqi Yah has them not see. 14 And Yesha Yah the prophet comes to sovereign Yechizqi Yah and says to him, What say these men? And whence come they to you? And Yechizqi Yah says, They come from a far land - from Babel. 15 And he says, What saw they in your house? And Yechizqi Yah says, I had them see all that is in my house: there is no word among my treasures that I had them not see. 16 And Yesha Yah says to Yechizqi Yah, Hear the word of Yah Veh. 17 Behold, the days come, that all in your house which your fathers treasure to this day, is lifted to Babel - no word remains, says Yah Veh. 18 And of your sons who emerge from you, whom you birth, they take away; to be eunuchs in the temple of the sovereign of Babel. 19 Then Yechizqi Yah says to Yesha Yah, Good is the word of Yah Veh you worded. And he says, But not if shalom and truth become in my days. 20

And the rest of the words of Yechizqi Yah and all his might and how he works a pool and a channel and brings water into the city, are they not inscribed in the scroll of the words of the days of the sovereigns of Yah Hudah? 21 And Yechizqi Yah lies down with his fathers: and Menash Sheh his son reigns in his stead.
