Bishops⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁴ Then came the disciples of Iohn vnto hym, saying: Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not ¹⁵ And Iesus sayde vnto them: Can the chyldren of the bryde chaumber mourne, as long as the brydegrome is with them? But the dayes wyll come, when the brydegrome shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast ¹⁶ No man putteth a peece of newe cloth in an olde garment: for then, the peece taketh away [somethyng] from the garment, and the rent is made worse ¹⁷ Neither do men put newe wine into olde vessels: els, the vessels breake, and the wyne runneth out, and the vessels peryshe: But they put newe wyne, into newe vessels, and both are preserued together
