Luke 3:3-4 Καὶ (And) ἦλθεν (he went) εἰς (into) πᾶσαν (all) τὴν (the) περίχωρον (surrounding region) τοῦ (of the) Ἰορδάνου (Jordan), κηρύσσων (proclaiming) βάπτισμα (a baptism) μετανοίας (of repentance) εἰς (for) ἄφεσιν (forgiveness) ἁμαρτιῶν (of sins),
