Genesis 17 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said to him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be you perfect.

1 H1961 And when H87 Abram H8673 was ninety H8141 years H1121 old H8672 and nine, H3068 the LORD H7200 appeared H87 to Abram, H559 and said H7706 to him, I am the Almighty H410 God; H1980 walk H6440 before H8549 me, and be you perfect.

2 H5414 And I will make H1285 my covenant H996 between H7235 me and you, and will multiply H3966 you exceedingly.

3 H87 And Abram H5307 fell H5921 on H6440 his face: H430 and God H1696 talked H559 with him, saying,

4 H2009 As for me, behold, H1285 my covenant H1 is with you, and you shall be a father H1995 of many H1471 nations.

5 H3808 Neither H8034 shall your name H5750 any H5750 more H7121 be called H87 Abram, H8034 but your name H85 shall be Abraham; H1 for a father H1995 of many H1471 nations H5414 have I made you.

6 H3966 And I will make you exceeding H6509 fruitful, H5414 and I will make H1471 nations H4428 of you, and kings H3318 shall come out of you.

7 H6965 And I will establish H1285 my covenant H996 between H2233 me and you and your seed H310 after H1755 you in their generations H5769 for an everlasting H1285 covenant, H430 to be a God H2233 to you, and to your seed H310 after you.

8 H5414 And I will give H2233 to you, and to your seed H310 after H776 you, the land H4033 wherein you are a stranger, H776 all the land H3667 of Canaan, H5769 for an everlasting H272 possession; H430 and I will be their God.

9 H430 And God H559 said H85 to Abraham, H8104 You shall keep H1285 my covenant H2233 therefore, you, and your seed H310 after H1755 you in their generations.

10 H2063 This H1285 is my covenant, H834 which H8104 you shall keep, H996 between H2233 me and you and your seed H310 after H3605 you; Every H2145 man H4135 child among you shall be circumcised.

11 H5243 And you shall circumcise H1320 the flesh H6190 of your foreskin; H226 and it shall be a token H1285 of the covenant H996 between me and you.

12 H8083 And he that is eight H3117 days H1121 old H4135 shall be circumcised H3605 among you, every H2145 man H1755 child in your generations, H3211 he that is born H1004 in the house, H4736 or bought H3701 with money H3605 of any H1121 stranger, H5235 H834 which H2233 is not of your seed.

13 H3211 He that is born H1004 in your house, H4736 and he that is bought H3701 with your money, H4135 must needs H4135 be circumcised: H1285 and my covenant H1320 shall be in your flesh H5769 for an everlasting H1285 covenant.

14 H6189 And the uncircumcised H2145 man H834 child whose H1320 flesh H6190 of his foreskin H4135 is not circumcised, H5315 that soul H3772 shall be cut H5971 off from his people; H6565 he has broken H1285 my covenant.

15 H430 And God H559 said H85 to Abraham, H8297 As for Sarai H802 your wife, H7121 you shall not call H8034 her name H8297 Sarai, H8283 but Sarah H8034 shall her name be.

16 H1288 And I will bless H5414 her, and give H1121 you a son H1571 also H1288 of her: yes, I will bless H1471 her, and she shall be a mother of nations; H4428 kings H5971 of people shall be of her.

17 H85 Then Abraham H5307 fell H6440 on his face, H6711 and laughed, H559 and said H3820 in his heart, H3205 Shall a child be born H3967 to him that is an hundred H8141 years H1121 old? H8283 and shall Sarah, H8673 that is ninety H8141 years H1323 old, H3205 bear?

18 H85 And Abraham H559 said H430 to God, H3458 O that Ishmael H2421 might live H6440 before you!

19 H430 And God H559 said, H8283 Sarah H802 your wife H3205 shall bear H1121 you a son H61 indeed; H7121 and you shall call H8034 his name H3327 Isaac: H6965 and I will establish H1285 my covenant H5769 with him for an everlasting H1285 covenant, H2233 and with his seed H310 after him.

20 H3458 And as for Ishmael, H8085 I have heard H2009 you: Behold, H1288 I have blessed H6509 him, and will make him fruitful, H7235 and will multiply H3966 him exceedingly; H8147 twelve H6240 H5387 princes H3205 shall he beget, H5414 and I will make H1419 him a great H1471 nation.

21 H1285 But my covenant H6965 will I establish H3327 with Isaac, H834 which H8283 Sarah H3205 shall bear H2088 to you at this H4150 set H312 time in the next H8141 year.

22 H3615 And he left H1696 off talking H430 with him, and God H5927 went H85 up from Abraham.

23 H85 And Abraham H3947 took H3458 Ishmael H1121 his son, H3605 and all H3211 that were born H1004 in his house, H3605 and all H4736 that were bought H3701 with his money, H3605 every H2145 male H582 among the men H85 of Abraham’s H1004 house; H4135 and circumcised H1320 the flesh H6190 of their foreskin H2088 in the selfsame H6106 H3117 day, H430 as God H1696 had said to him.

24 H85 And Abraham H8673 was ninety H8141 years H1121 old H8672 and nine, H4135 when he was circumcised H1320 in the flesh H6190 of his foreskin.

25 H3458 And Ishmael H1121 his son H7969 was thirteen H6240 H8141 years H1121 old, H4135 when he was circumcised H1320 in the flesh H6190 of his foreskin.

26 H2088 In the selfsame H6106 H3117 day H85 was Abraham H4135 circumcised, H3458 and Ishmael H1121 his son.

27 H3605 And all H582 the men H1004 of his house, H3211 born H1004 in the house, H4736 and bought H3701 with money H1121 of the stranger, H5235 H4135 were circumcised with him.
