1 He who is dwelling in the concealment of the Supreme Shall lodge in the shadow of Him Who-Suffices. 2 I shall say of Yahweh:My Refuge and my Fastness, My Elohim, in Whom I trust." 3 For He Himself shall rescue you from the snare of the trapper, From the plague of woes." 4 With His pinions shall He overshadow you, And under His wings shall you take refuge; A large shield and encircling-guard is His faithfulness." 5 You shall not fear the alarm at night, Or the arrow that flies by day, 6 Neither the plague that walks in gloom, Nor the sting that devastates at high noon." 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; It shall not come close to you." 8 But with your eyes you shall look And see the repayment of the wicked. 9 For You, O Yahweh, are my Refuge! Because you have made the Supreme your habitation, 10 Evil shall not be your fate, And contagion, it shall not approach into your tent." 11 For He shall enjoin His messengers concerning you, To keep you in all your ways." 12 On their palms shall they lift you, Lest you should strike your foot against a stone." 13 Upon the black lion and the cobra shall you tread; You shall tramp down the sheltered lion and the snake. 14 Because he is attached to Me, I shall deliver him; I shall make him impregnable, for he knows My Name." 15 He shall call on Me, and I shall answer him; I am with him in distress; I shall liberate him and glorify him." 16 With length of days shall I satisfy him, And I shall show him My salvation."

" 10 For the rest, brethren mine, be invigorated in the Lord and in the might of His strength." 11 Put on the panoply of God, to enable you to stand up to the stratagems of the Adversary, 12 for it is not ours to wrestle with blood and flesh, but with the sovereignties, with the authorities, with the world-mights of this darkness, with the spiritual forces of wickedness among the celestials." 13 Therefore take up the panoply of God that you may be enabled to withstand in the wicked day, and having effected all, to stand." 14 Stand, then, girded about your loins with truth, with the cuirass of righteousness put on." 15 and your feet sandaled with the readiness of the evangel of peace; 16 with all taking up the large shield of faith, by which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery arrows of the wicked one." 17 And receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is a declaration of God." 18 During every prayer and petition be praying on every occasion (in spirit being vigilant also for it with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints, 19 and for me), that to me expression may be granted, in the opening of my mouth with boldness, to make known the secret of the evangel, 20 for which I am conducting an embassy in a chain, that in it I should be speaking boldly, as I must speak." 21 Now that you also may be acquainted with my affairs, and what is engaging me, all will be made known to you by Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, 22 whom I send to you for this same thing, that you may know our concerns, and he should be consoling your hearts." 23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God, the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ." 24 Grace be with all who are loving our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption! 24 Because I called, and you refused, I stretched out my hand, and no one attended, 25 And you renounced all my counsel, And you would not heed my reproof, 26 Indeed, I myself shall ridicule you in your calamity; I shall deride when alarm comes upon you, 27 When alarm comes upon you like a tumult, And calamity, it arrives upon you like a sweeping whirlwind, When distress and constraint come upon you." 28 Then they shall call me, yet I shall not answer; They shall seek me early, yet shall not find me." 29 Because they hated knowledge And would not choose the fear of Yahweh, 30 They would not heed my counsel, They spurned all my correction, 31 Thus they shall eat of the fruit of their way, And they shall be surfeited with the results of their counsels." 32 For the instability of the simple, it shall kill them, And the carelessness of the stupid, it shall destroy them." 33 Yet whoever is hearkening to me shall tabernacle in trust, And he will be tranquil, away from alarm of peril."
17 Then to one perceiving how to be doing the ideal and not doing it, to him it is sin."
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing in the Lord."
1 Let every soul be subject to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except under God. Now those which are, have been set under God, 2 so that he who is resisting an authority has withstood God's mandate. Now those who have withstood, will be getting judgment for themselves, 3 for magistrates are not a fear to the good act, but to the evil. Now you do not want to be fearing the authority. Do good, and you will be having applause from it." 4 For it is God's servant for your good. Now if you should be doing evil, fear, for not feignedly is it wearing the sword. For it is God's servant, an avenger for indignation to him who is committing evil." 5 Wherefore it is necessary to be subject, not only because of indignation, but also because of conscience." 6 For therefore you are settling taxes also, for they are God's ministers, perpetuated for this self-same thing." 7 Render to all their dues, to whom tax, tax, to whom tribute, tribute, to whom fear, fear, to whom honor, honor." 8 To no one owe anything, except to be loving one another, for he who is loving another has fulfilled law." 9 For this: "You shall not commit adultery,you shall not murder,you shall not steal,you shall not testify falsely,you shall not covet,and if there is any other precept, it is summed up in this saying, in this: "You shall love your associate as yourself." 10 Love is not working evil to an associate. The complement, then, of law, is love." 11 This, also, do, being aware of the era, that it is already the hour for us to be roused out of sleep, for now is our salvation nearer than when we believe." 12 The night progresses, yet the day is near. We, then, should be putting off the acts of darkness, yet should be putting on the implements of light." 13 As in the day, respectably, should we be walking, not in revelries and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy, 14 but put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be making no provision for the lusts of the flesh."
