²⁴ For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen, is not hope; for what any one sees, how doth he yet hope for?

² through whom also we have admission by faith into this grace in which we stand, and boast in hope of the glory of God.

¹² Rejoicing in hope, patient under affliction, persevering in prayer,

⁴ For whatever things were written heretofore, were written for our instruction; that we through patience and the consolation of the scriptures might have hope.

¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope through the power of the holy Spirit.

¹³ And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three graces; but the greatest of these is love.

¹⁸ for those, which are visible, are temporary, but the invisible are eternal.

⁷ (for we walk by faith, not by sight,) we are confident, I say,

⁵ For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

⁵ for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which ye have heard before in the word of truth, that is the gospel;

²³ if so be ye continue grounded and settled in the faith, and be not moved from the gospel, which ye have heard, and which hath been preached throughout the whole creation, of which I Paul am a minister.

²⁷ to whom God would make known the rich glory of this mystery, among the gentiles; which is this, that Christ is in you the hope of glory:

⁸ but let us, who are of the day, be sober; putting on the breast-plate of faith and love, and for an helmet the hope of salvation.

¹⁶ And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts,

¹¹ For the grace of God, that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men; ¹² teaching us that denying ungodliness, and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and righteously, and piously in this present world; ¹³ looking for the blessed hope, and glorious appearance of the great God, and our Saviour, Jesus Christ:

¹⁸ that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to fail, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us; ¹⁹ which we have as an anchor of the soul safe and stedfast, and which entereth within the veil.

¹ Now faith is the confident expectation of things hoped for, and a conviction of things not seen:

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath regenerated us to a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹⁰ concerning which salvation the prophets, who prophesied of the grace to be conferred on you, enquired and diligently sought after it: ¹¹ searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did declare in testifying beforehand the sufferings that were to come upon Christ, and the glories following them:

²¹ who through Him trust in God that raised Him from the dead, and gave Him glory, that your faith and hope might be fixed in God.

³ And every one, that hath this hope in Him, purifieth himself, even as He is pure.
