²¹ for there shall be then great affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the world unto this time, no, nor ever shall be.

²⁹ And immediately after the affliction of those days, the fun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give it's light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

⁹ But look to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils, and synagogues: and ye shall be scourged, and set before governors and kings on my account, for a testimony against them.

⁴³ For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast up a trench about thee, and surround thee, and keep thee in on every side, ⁴⁴ and shall lay thee to the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another: because thou didst not regard the time of thy visitation.

²⁴ and they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trampled down by the Gentiles, till the times of the Gentiles too shall be fulfilled.

¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, thus going on to fill up their sins perpetually: but wrath is coming upon them to extremity.

²⁶ For if we sin wilfully after having received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins; ²⁷ but a dreadful expectation of judgement, and a fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. ²⁸ If any one that violateth the law of Moses, dieth without mercy under two or three witnesses, ²⁹ of how much greater punishment, think ye, shall he be counted worthy, who hath trampled under foot the Son of God, and accounted the blood of the covenant, by which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and abused the Spirit of grace?
