⁶ and said to Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for it is committed to me, and I give it to whomsoever I will.

⁴⁴ Ye are of your father the devil, and are bent upon doing the lusts of your father: he was a murderer from the beginning, and continued not in the truth: for there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh like himself, for he is a liar, and the father of such.

³¹ Now is the judgement of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

³⁰ I shall not have much more conversation with you: for the prince of this world is coming; not that he hath any thing in me,

¹⁴ And no wonder: for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

²⁴ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass: the grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away;

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

² And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.

⁷ And he was permitted to make war upon the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over every tribe, and tongue, and nation.

² And he seized the dragon, that old serpent, who is the devil and satan, and bound him a thousand years, ³ and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he might deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years be finished: and then he must be loosed for a little time.
