⁴⁴ No one can come to me, unless the Father, who hath sent me, draw him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

²⁵ And upon this occasion Jesus opened his mouth and said, "I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and knowing, and hast revealed them to babes: ²⁶ even so, Father, for it was thy good pleasure that so it should be." ²⁷ All things are delivered to me by my Father: and no one knoweth the Son, but the Father; nor does any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom the Son is pleased to reveal Him.

³⁴ O race of vipers, how can ye speak good things, who are yourselves so wicked? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

¹⁷ And Jesus replied and said unto him, Blessed art thou Simon son of Jonas, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven.

³ Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily I tell thee, Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ⁴ Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born? ⁵ Jesus answered, I tell thee of a truth, Unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ⁶ That, which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that, which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. ⁷ Do not wonder that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

⁴⁴ How can ye believe, who receive applause from each other, and the glory which is from God only, ye seek not?

³⁹ And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that of all that He hath given me, I should lose none, but should raise them up at the last day. ⁴⁰ And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one who looketh attentively at the Son, and so believeth on Him, may have eternal life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, "And they shall all be taught of God." Every one therefore that hath heard and learned from the Father, cometh unto me.

⁶⁵ and He said,) therefore I told you, that no one can come unto me except it be given him from my Father.

⁴³ And why do ye not understand my language, but because ye cannot bear my doctrine?

³² And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, shall draw all men unto me.

³⁷ But though He had done so many miracles before their eyes, yet they did not believe on Him: ³⁸ so that the word of Esaias the prophet was fulfilled, which he spake, saying, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? ³⁹ And therefore they could not believe; for Esaias had also said, ⁴⁰ He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they might not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

⁷ because the carnal mind is an enemy to God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be: ⁸ and they who are carnal, cannot please God.

⁴ But God being rich in mercy, through his great love wherewith He loved us, ⁵ hath made us alive in Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses, (for by grace ye are saved) and hath raised us up together, ⁶ and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. ⁷ That in the ages to come He might shew the superabundant riches of his grace, in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. ⁸ For by grace ye are saved, through faith: and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not by works, that no one may boast: ⁹ for we are his workmanship, ¹⁰ created in Christ Jesus unto good works, for which God before prepared us, that we might walk in them.

²⁹ For to you it is granted as a favor from Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for his sake:

¹² being buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are raised together with Him, through faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead.

³ For we also were formerly foolish, disobedient, going astray, enslaved to various disorderly appetites and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour towards man appeared, ⁵ not for works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the holy Spirit;
