⁸ for the instructions, which Thou gavest me, I have given to them: and they have received them, and have known of a truth that I came from Thee, and have believed that thou hast sent me.

¹¹ And He answered them, saying, Because it is granted unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not granted:

¹⁷ for God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved by Him.

³³ He that hath received his testimony, hath set his seal to this, that God is true:

⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go?

⁴² Jesus said unto them, If God were your father, ye would love me: for I came forth, and do come, from God; neither came I of myself, but He sent me.

⁴⁹ For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father, who sent me, gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.

¹⁰ Dost thou not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? as to the words which I speak to you, I speak them not of my self; and the Father who abideth in me, doth the works.

¹⁵ I no longer stile you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for whatsoever I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

²⁷ For the Father himself loveth you; because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came from God: and I indeed came from the Father,

³⁰ Now we are convinced that Thou knowest all things, and hast no need that any one should ask Thee: by this we believe that Thou camest forth from God.

⁶ I have manifested thy name to the men, whom Thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and Thou gavest them to me, and they have kept thy word. ⁷ They now know that all things whatsoever Thou hast given me, are indeed from Thee;

¹⁴ I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¹⁸ As Thou hast sent me into the world, so have I also sent them into the world.

²¹ That they all may be one, as Thou, O Father, art in me, and I in Thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

²³ I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved me.

²⁵ O righteous Father, the world indeed hath not known Thee: but I have known Thee, and these have known that Thou hast sent me. ²⁶ And I have made known to them thy name, and will farther make it known; that the love wherewith Thou hast loved me, may be in them, and I also in them.

²³ For I received from the Lord, that which I also delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread:

¹ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached to you at first, which ye received, and wherein ye stand.

² as ye have heard the dispensation of the grace of God, which was given me to preach unto you: ³ that by immediate revelation He made known to me the mystery, (as I wrote before in brief, by which, ⁴ when ye read it, ye may perceive my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,) ⁵ which in other generations was not made known to men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be co-heirs, ⁶ and of the same body, and joint-partakers of his promise in Christ, by the gospel: ⁷ of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God conferred on me by the effectual operation of his power. ⁸ On me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace bestowed, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

¹¹ And therefore He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers; to qualify holy men for the work of the ministry, ¹² to the edifying of the body of Christ:

¹³ For this also we thank God continually, that when ye received the word of God, which ye heard from us, ye received it not as the word of men, but (as it is in truth) the word of God, which also worketh effectually in you that believe.

¹ As to what remains therefore, my brethren, we intreat and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received instructions from us, how ye ought to walk and to please God, ye would abound therein more and more.

¹⁴ And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father hath sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
