¹⁵ and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

² and behold, they brought to Him one that had the palsy laid on a couch: and Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, Take heart my son, for thy sins are forgiven thee. ³ Upon which, some of the scribes said in themselves, This man blasphemeth: but Jesus knowing their surmises, ⁴ said to them, Why think ye evil in your hearts? ⁵ For which is easier? To say, thy sins be forgiven thee? or to say, rise up and walk? ⁶ but that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, Arise (saith He then to the paralytic) and take up thy couch, and go away to thy house.

²⁰ And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief: for verily I tell you, if ye had but faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this mountain, Remove from hence thither, and it shall remove: and nothing would be impossible to you.

²¹ but Jesus answering said unto them, Verily I tell you, if ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only be able to do this to a fig-tree, but also if ye shall say to this mountain, "Be thou removed and cast into the sea," it shall be done. ²² And all things whatsoever ye ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

⁵ And Jesus, seeing their faith, saith to him that had the palsy, Son, thy sins are forgiven thee. ⁶ But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, ⁷ Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God? ⁸ And Jesus, who knew immediately in his spirit that they were thus reasoning within themselves, said unto them, Why do ye dispute these things in your hearts? ⁹ Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Rise, take up thy couch, and walk? ¹⁰ But that ye may know, that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, ¹¹ I say unto thee (saith He to the paralytic,) Arise, and take up thy couch, and go thy way to thine own house.

²² And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God: for verily I tell you, ²³ that whosoever shall say to this mountain, "Be thou removed and cast into the sea," and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith shall be done, he shall have whatsoever he saith. ²⁴ Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye ask in prayer, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

¹⁷ And these signs shall accompany them that believe; in my name shall they cast out demons, they shall speak with new tongues; ¹⁸ they shall take up serpents, and if they should drink any thing poisonous, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall be well.

¹⁴ Afterwards Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, thou art healed; sin no more, least something worse befal thee.

³⁰ For this many among you are weak and infirm, and several are fallen asleep. ³¹ If then we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged: ³² but when judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

²⁸ And God hath placed you accordingly in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miraculous powers, then gifts of healing, helps, governments, and various kinds of tongues. ²⁹ Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? ³⁰ have all miraculous powers? have all the gifts of healing? do all speak many languages? do all interpret? but ye are all zealous for the best gifts.

⁶ But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting; for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea blown about and tossed by the wind.

¹³ Is any among you afflicted? let him pray: is any chearful? let him sing psalms.

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed: the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence, which we have towards Him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, He heareth us: ¹⁵ and if we know that He heareth us in whatsoever we ask; we know that we shall have the petitions, which we have requested of Him. ¹⁶ If any one see his brother commit a sin which is not unto death, let him pray for him, and God will give him life, that is for them that do not sin unto death. There is a sin unto death: and for that I do not say that he should pray.
