² for the sake of the truth which dwelleth in us, and will be with us for ever:

⁷ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be granted you.

²³ And this I do for the sake of the gospel, that I may be a fellow partaker of it.

⁵ for we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for the sake of Jesus.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another by psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude singing in your hearts to the Lord.

⁵ keeping in memory the unfeigned faith, that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice: and I am persuaded that it dwells in thee also;

²³ being regenerated not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever. ²⁴ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass: the grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away; ²⁵ but the word of the Lord abideth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you in the gospel.

¹² Wherefore I will not neglect to put you always in mind of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

¹⁴ I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known Him that is from the beginning: and I have written to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one---

¹⁷ And the world passeth away, and the desire of it: but he, that doth the will of God, abideth for ever.
