⁵ Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whose means ye embraced the faith, even as the Lord gave success to each of them?

¹⁵ to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability: and then he took his journey.

² as they delivered them to us, who were from the beginning eye-witnesses of them, and ministers of the word;

²⁷ John answered and said, A man can take nothing upon him, unless it be given him from heaven.

¹⁴ But how shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe on him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ¹⁵ and how shall they preach unless they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the good tidings of good things?

³ For by the grace conferred on me I charge every one among you, not to think of himself above what he ought to think: but to think with sobriety, according as God hath divided to every man the measure of faith. ⁴ For as in one body we have many members, and all the members have not the same office: ⁵ so we who are many, are one body in Christ, and every one members of each other. ⁶ But having different gifts, according to the grace conferred upon us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith:

⁷ So that neither he that planteth is any thing, nor he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God given to me, as a wise architect I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon: but let every one see to it how he buildeth thereon.

¹ Let a man so account of us, as the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. ² Now it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

¹⁷ Now if I do this willingly, I have a reward; and if unwillingly, yet I am intrusted with the commission, and I must execute it.

⁴ Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit: and there are different offices, but the same Lord: ⁵ and there are diversities of operations, ⁶ but it is the same God who worketh them all in every one. ⁷ But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the advantage of all. ⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; ⁹ to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; ¹⁰ to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: ¹¹ but all these worketh that one and the same Spirit distributing to every one in particular as He sees fit.

²⁸ And God hath placed you accordingly in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miraculous powers, then gifts of healing, helps, governments, and various kinds of tongues.

³ being manifest that ye are the epistle of Christ, through our ministration, written not with ink, but by the Spirit of the living God; not on tables of stone, but on tables of the heart of flesh.

⁶ Who hath also fitted us to be ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.

⁵ for we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for the sake of Jesus.

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power might be evidently of God, and not of us:

¹ And we co-operating with Him do also exhort you that ye receive not the grace of God in vain:

⁴ but in every thing approving ourselves as the ministers of God; by much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in straits,

²³ so am I: are they ministers of Christ? (if I may speak as a fool) I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes far exceeding, in prisons more frequently, and often even in deaths.

⁷ of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God conferred on me by the effectual operation of his power.

²⁵ Of which I was made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given me towards you, that I might fully declare the word of God:

¹⁰ as every one hath received a gift, imparting it to each other, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
