¹ I am speaking a truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Holy Spirit—

⁹ For God is my witness, Whom I serve in my spirit in the Gospel of His Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you always in my prayers,

¹⁵ who, indeed, show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying with it, and between one another their thoughts accusing or even excusing them;)

¹⁶ The Spirit Himself testifieth with our spirit, that we are children of God;

¹² For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom, but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

²³ But I invoke God as a witness upon my soul, that, as sparing you, I came not yet to Corinth.

¹⁰ As the truth of Christ is in me, this glorying shall not be stopped in regard to me in the regions of Achaia.

³¹ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is blessed forevermore, knoweth that I lie not.

¹⁹ Think ye all this time that we are excusing ourselves to you? Before God in Christ we are speaking; and all, beloved, for your edification.

²⁰ Now as to the things I am writing to you, behold, before God, I am not lying.

⁸ For God is my witness, how I long for you all in the tender affections of Christ Jesus.

⁵ For neither, at any time, did we use a word of flattery, as ye know, nor a semblance of covetousness, God is witness;

⁵ But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and of faith unfeigned;

⁷ whereunto I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I speak truth, I lie not), a teacher of gentiles in faith and truth.

²¹ I solemnly charge you before God, and Christ Jesus, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

¹⁹ Hereby we shall know that we are of the truth, and we shall assure our heart before Him; ²⁰ because, if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have confidence toward God;
