¹³ As in the day, let us walk becomingly; not in revellings and drunkenness, not in lewdness and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy; ¹⁴ but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill its desires.

²⁹ But this I say, brethren, the time has been shortened; that henceforth both those who have wives may be as though they had none; ³⁰ and those who weep, as though they wept not; and those who rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and those who buy, as though they possessed not; ³¹ and those who use the world, as not using it to the full; for the fashion of this world is passing away.
