⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; because this is the testimony of God, that He hath testified concerning His Son.

¹⁶ And, having been immersed, Jesus went up straightway from the water; and, behold, the heavens were opened; and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, coming upon Him; ¹⁷ and, behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My Son, the beloved, in whom I delighted."

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I delighted; hear Him."

³² What He hath seen, and what He heard, of this He bears testimony; and no man receives His testimony. ³³ He that received His testimony did set his seal to it, that God is true.

³¹ If I testify concerning Myself, My testimony is not true. ³² There is Another Who testifieth concerning Me; and I know that the testimony which He testifieth concerning Me is true. ³³ Ye have sent to John, and he has testified to the truth. ³⁴ But the testimony I receive is not from man; but these things I say, that ye may be saved. ³⁵ He was a lamp that was burning and shining; and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light. ³⁶ But I have a testimony greater than that of John; for the works which the Father hath given Me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing testify concerning Me, that the Father hath sent Me. ³⁷ And the Father Who sent Me, He hath testified concerning Me. Ye have neither at any time heard His voice, nor seen His form.

³⁹ Ye search the Scriptures; because in them ye think ye have eternal life; and these are they that testify concerning Me;

¹⁷ And in your law also it has been written, 'The testimony of two men is true.' ¹⁸ I am One Who testify concerning Myself; and the Father, Who sent Me, testifieth concerning Me." ¹⁹ They said, therefore, to Him, "Where is Thy Father?" Jesus answered, "Ye know neither Me, nor My Father. If ye knew Me, ye would know My Father also."

³⁸ but, if I do them, even though ye believe not Me, believe the works; that ye may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."

³² And we are witnesses of these things; also the Holy Spirit, Whom God gave to those who obey Him."

³¹ inasmuch as He appointed a day in which He intendeth to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness, by a Man Whom He appointed, having given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead."

⁴ God testifying with them, both with signs and wonders and manifold miracles, and distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to His will?

¹⁸ that, through two immutable facts, in which it is impossible that God should lie, we may have strong encouragement, who fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us;

¹⁰ He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself; he that believes not God has made Him a liar; because he has not believed in the testimony that God testified concerning His Son.
