² In this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and do His commandments.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; even as I loved you, that ye love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another."

¹⁷ These things I command you, that ye may love one another.

⁵ but whosoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God has been perfected: in this we know that we are in Him.

²² and whatsoever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and do the things that are pleasing before Him. ²³ And this is the commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. ²⁴ And he that keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him; and in this we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit Whom He gave to us.

²¹ And this commandment we have from Him, that he who loves God loves his brother also.
