Galatians 2:4 Cross References - Whiston

⁴ And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty, which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed on him, If ye will continue in my word, ye are my disciples indeed; ³² And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. ³³ They answered him and said, We be Abrahams seed, and were never in bondage to any one: how sayst thou, Ye shall be made free? ³⁴ Jesus answered them, Verily verily I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin, is a servant, ³⁵ And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. ³⁶ If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

¹ And certain men who came down from Judea, taught the brethren, Except ye be circumcised, and walk after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

²⁴ Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, disturbing your souls; to whom we gave no commandment:

³⁰ Also of your own selves will men arise, speaking perverse things to turn away the disciples after them.

¹⁵ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord [is, is] liberty.

¹³ For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

¹⁷ That which I speak, I speak [it] not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly in this confidence of boasting.

²⁰ For ye suffer it, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour [you], if a man take [of you], if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

²⁶ In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

²³ But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith, which should afterwards be revealed. ²⁴ Wherefore the law was our school-master, unto Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵ But after that faith as come, we are no longer under a school-master. ²⁶ For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

³ Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

⁹ But now after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? ¹⁰ Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

²⁵ For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, for she is in bondage with her children.

¹ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and e not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

¹⁰ I have confidence in you through the Lord, that you will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you, shall bear [his] judgment, whosoever he be.

¹² I would they were even cut off who trouble you. ¹³ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion of the flesh, but by love of the Spirit serve one another.

⁶ For of this sort are they who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

¹⁶ As free, and not using liberty for a cloke of wickedness; but as the servants of God.

¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who privily will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction, ² And many will follow their filthiness, by reason of whom the glory of truth will be evil spoken of.

¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

⁴ For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were of old described as coming to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and, denying the only Lord, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
