¹ Now Peter and John went up in those days into the temple, at the evening ninth hour of prayer. ² And lo a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entred into the temple. ³ He fixing his eyes [on them] and seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked an alms of them. ⁴ But Peter looking upon him, with John, said, Fix thine eyes on us. ⁵ And he fixed his eyes on them, expecting to receive something of them. ⁶ Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Walk. ⁷ And he took him by the right hand, and raised [him] up, and immediately he stood up, and his feet and ankle-bones received strength. ⁸ And he leaping up, stood, and walked, rejoicing, and entered with them into the temple, praising God. ⁹ And all the people saw him walking about and praising God. ¹⁰ And they knew him, that it was he who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. ¹¹ And as Peter and John went out, he went out together with them, taking hold of them. But those that were amazed stood in the cloister called Solomon's. ¹² But Peter answered and said unto them, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or piety we had done this? ¹³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Son Jesus Christ, whom ye delivered up to Judgment, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined and willing to let him go. ¹⁴ But ye oppressed the holy one, and the just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you, ¹⁵ And killed the prince of life, whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. ¹⁶ And through the faith of his name, hath his name strengthened this man, whom ye see, and know that the faith which is by him, hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. ¹⁷ And now men and Brethren, know ye, that you indeed through ignorance did a wicked thing, as also your rulers. ¹⁸ But what God before had shewed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. ¹⁹ Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come upon you, from the face of the Lord. ²⁰ And he shall send Jesus Christ, who was before ordained for you. ²¹ Whom the heaven must receive, until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets, ²² Moses truly said unto our fathers, A prophet shall the Lord our God raise up unto you, of our brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. ²³ And it shall come to pass, every soul which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. ²⁴ All the prophets also from Samuel, and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise spoken of these days. ²⁵ Yeare the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. ²⁶ Unto you first, God having raised up his Son, sent him forth to bless [you,] in turning away every one from your iniquities.

¹ And it came to pass after six days, Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a very high mountain.

³⁷ And he took with him Peter, and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful, and very heavy.

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying without, at the hour of incense.

⁸ And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

⁴⁴ And it was the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. ⁴⁵ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit: And having said thus, he gave up the ghost. ⁴⁶ But the sun was darkned, and the vail of the temple was rent.

⁵³ And were continually in the temple praising God.

²³ Now there was leaning on Jesus bosom, on of his disciples whom also Jesus loved. ²⁴ Simon Peter therefore beckned to him, to ask who he should be of whom he spake. ²⁵ He then lying on Jesus breast, saith unto him, Lord, who is he?

² She runneth therefore and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid him. ³ Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. ⁴ Now they ran both together: and the other disciple out ran Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. ⁵ And [he] stooping down, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. ⁶ Simon Peter therefore came also following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lying, ⁷ And the napkin that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in one place by it self. ⁸ Then went in therefore that other disciple who came first to the sepulchre, and he saw and believed not. ⁹ For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

⁷ Therefore the disciple whom Jesus loved, saith unto Peter, It is your Lord. When Simon Peter therefore heard that it is the Lord, he girt [his] upper garment about him, for he was naked, and leaped into the sea.

¹⁸ Verily verily I say unto thee, When thou was young, thou girdedst thy self, and walkedst whither thou wouldest, but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands and other shall gird thee, and carry thee away whither thou wouldst not. ¹⁹ But these things spake he, signifying by what death he should glorifie God. And when he had spoken these things, he saith unto him, Follow me. ²⁰ But Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following; who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said unto him, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee? ²¹ -- ²² Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he remain thus until I come, what [is that] to thee? Follow thou me.

⁴⁶ And they all continued in the temple, and from house to house, and breaking bread, partook of meat with gladness and singleness of heart.

¹³ Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned men, they marvelled, but they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

²⁵ Then came one and told them, Behold, the men whom ye put into prison, are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

¹⁴ Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem, heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John.

³ He saw in a vision evidently, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

³⁰ And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour: At the ninth hour I was both praying in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

⁹ And when Peter, James, and John, who seemed to be pillars, prceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we [should go] unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

²⁰ But a certain beggar named Lazarus, was laid at his gate full of ulcers.

³⁵ And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging,

⁹ He was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. ¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. ¹¹ He came unto his own, and his own received him not. ¹² As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God; to them that believe on his name: ¹³ They were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of God. ¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and pitched his tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. ¹⁵ John bare witness of him, and cried, This was he of whom I spake to you. He that cometh aster me, was made before me: for he was preferred to me. ¹⁶ For of his fulness have all we received and grace for grace. ¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth by Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one hath Seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]. ¹⁹ And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to him to ask him, Who art thou? ²⁰ And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. ²¹ And they asked him, What then. Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No. ²² Then said they unto him, Who are thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us: what sayst thou of thy self? ²³ He said I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias ²⁴ And they who were sent, were of the Pharisees. ²⁵ And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not the Christ, nor Elias, neither the prophet? ²⁶ John, answered them, saying I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; ²⁷ He it is, who coming after me, was made before me, whose shoes latchet I am not worthy to unloose. ²⁸ These things were done in Bethany (Read: Bethabara) beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. ²⁹ The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world. ³⁰ This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man, who is made before me: for he was before me.

⁸ The neighbours therefore, and they who before had seen him, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

²² For the man was above forty years old, on whom the miracle of healing was shewed.

⁴ And stedfastly looking on him, and being much affrighted, he said, What is it, Lord?And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

³¹ And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance before God.

⁸ And there sat a certain man, impotent in his feet, from his mother's womb, who never had walked.

²⁰ And having closed the book, he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down; and the eyes of all that were in the synagogue were fastned on him.

⁶ When Jesus saw him lie, and know that he had been now a long time so, he saith to him, Wilt thou be made whole?

⁴⁰ Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldst believe, thou shouldst see the glory of God?

¹² But Peter answered and said unto them, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or piety we had done this?

⁶ Upon the which when I stedfastly looked, I considered, and saw four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

⁹ The same heard Paul speak; being in fear: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, ¹⁰ Said with a loud voice, I say to thee, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Stand up right on thy feet. [And] he presently [immediately] leaped and walked.

²² Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out dæmons? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

⁹ Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses:

⁸ She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

¹⁷ And these signs shall follow them that believe, in my name shall they call out dæmons: they shall speak with new tongues.

¹⁹ And Pilate wrote a title and put on the cross, And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

²² Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, aman approved of God among you, by miracles and wonders and signs, all which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye your selves know:

³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that Jesus whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

¹⁶ And through the faith of his name, hath his name strengthened this man, whom ye see, and know that the faith which is by him, hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

⁷ And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name have ye done this?

¹⁰ Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

³⁴ And Peter said unto him, Eneas, The Lord Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth; whom God anointed with the Holy Ghost, and with power: He went about doing good, and healing all that were brought into subjection by the devil: for God was with him.

¹⁸ And this did she many days. But Paul turned to the spirit, and being grieved said, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out immediately.

¹³ Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call overthem who had evil spirits, the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. ¹⁴ Among whom were also the sons of Sceva a Priest, who would do the same, having the custom to exorcise such persons. And when they had entred in to the Dæmoniack, they began to call on [that] name, saying, We charge thee by Jesus whom Paul preacheth, to go out. ¹⁵ But the evil spirit answered [and] said to them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye? ¹⁶ And the man in whom the evil spirit was, leapt on them, overcame them, and prevailed against them both; so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

¹¹ Even unto this present hour, we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place;

¹⁰ As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.

⁹ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

¹² For if there be first a willing mind, [it is] accepted according to that a man hath, not according to that he hath not.

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, hath not God chosen the poor of the world, rich in faith, and heirs of the promise, which he hath promised to them that love him?

¹⁰ As every man hath received the gift, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

³¹ And he came to her and took her by the hand, and lift her up, and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

⁴¹ And he rook the little child by the hand and said unto her, Thabita cumi, which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee arise.

²⁷ But Jesus took hold of his hand, and lifted him up, and he arose.

¹³ And he laid hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

⁴¹ And he gave her his hand, and lift her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

²³ Rejoyce ye in that day, and leap for joy: because your reward [is] great in heaven: In the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

¹⁵ And one of them when he saw that he was cleansed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God. ¹⁶ And fell down on [his] face at his feet: and he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to them, Were there not ten cleansed? where [are] the nine? ¹⁸ None of them is found that will return to give glory to God, save this stranger.

⁴³ And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw [it], gave glory to God.

⁸ Jesus saith unto him, Rise, and take up the couch and walk. ⁹ And the man was made whole, rose up, and took up his couch and walked: and on that day was the sabbath.

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

¹⁰ Said with a loud voice, I say to thee, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Stand up right on thy feet. [And] he presently [immediately] leaped and walked.

¹¹ I say unto thee Arise, take up thy couch, and go unto thine house. ¹² And immediately he got up, took up the couch, and went out before them all, insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, and said, We never saw it on this fashion.

¹⁷ And, his adversaries were ashamed: and all the multitude rejoyced for all the glorious things, they had seen done by him.

¹⁶ Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them [is] more manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny [it].

²¹ So when they had further threatned them, they let them go, not finding a cause why they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

¹¹ And when the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lift up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

³⁶ And they were all greatly amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word [is] this? for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.

⁴³ And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondred every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

²⁰ For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doth: and he sheweth him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

³ Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be manifest in him.

¹⁸ The Jews did not believe concerning him, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. ¹⁹ And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how therefore doth he now see? ²⁰ His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: ²¹ But by that means he now seeth, we know not, or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age, ask him, he shall speak for himself.

⁷ And they were amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these who speak, Galileans?

¹² And they were all amazed, and were in doubt one among another what had happened, and saying, What meaneth this?

¹⁴ And beholding the man who had been healed standing with them, they could neither do nor say any thing against [it.] ¹⁵ When they had commanded them to be carried away out of the council, they conferred among themselves. ¹⁶ Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them [is] more manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny [it].

²¹ So when they had further threatned them, they let them go, not finding a cause why they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done. ²² For the man was above forty years old, on whom the miracle of healing was shewed.

³⁸ Now the man out of whom the daemons were departed, besought him that he might be with him: but he sent him away, saying,

²³ And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomons cloisters.

⁶ And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, and they heard every one speak in their [own] languages.

¹² And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; and they were all with one accord in the temple, in Solomon's cloister.

²⁷ John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven, ²⁸ Ye your selves bear me witness, that I said, I [am] not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

¹⁸ He that speaketh of himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, he is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.

²⁵ But as Peter drew nigh to Cesarea, one of the servants ran before, and told that he was come. But Cornelius leaped up, and met him: and falling at his feet, worshipped him. ²⁶ But Peter raised him up, saying, What doest thou? I also am a man as thou art.

²⁶ Men, Brethren, children of the family of Abraham, and whosoever among us feareth God, to us is the word of this salvation sent forth.

¹¹ And when the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lift up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. ¹² Now they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercury, because he was the chief speaker. ¹³ But the priests of Jupiter who were before the city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the multitude. ¹⁴ When Barnabas and Paul heard it, they rent their clothes, and ran out to the multitude, crying, ¹⁵ And speaking, Sirs, why do ye these things? we are men of like passions with you, and preach God unto you, that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

⁴ Who are Israelites; to whom is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenant, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promise;

¹ I say then, Hath God cast away his people whom he foreknew? By no means. For I also am an Israelite, of the feed of Abraham, [of] the tribe of Benjamin.

⁵ Not that we are sufficient of our selves to think any thing as of ourselves: but our sufficiency [is] of God.

²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither knoweth any one the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].

¹⁹ And will deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucifie: and the third day he will rise again.

³² I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

² And when they had bound him, they led [him away], and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

¹⁷ But when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is called Christ? ¹⁸ For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. ¹⁹ When he was sat down on the Judgment-seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that righteous one, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream, because of him. ²⁰ But the chief priests and elders perswaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. ²¹ The governor answered and said unto them, Which of the two will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. ²² Pilate saith unto them What shall we do then with Jesus, who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified. ²³ And the governor said, What evil then hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. ²⁴ When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this man, you shall see [to it]. ²⁵ Then answered all the people, and said, His blood [be] on us, and on our children.

¹⁸ And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth.

¹¹ But the chief priests persuaded the multitude that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

⁴ Pilate said to the chief priests and to the multitudes, I find no fault in this man.

¹⁶ I will therefore chastise him, and release [him.] ¹⁷ And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: ¹⁸ Who for a certain sedition made in the city and for murder was cast into prison. ¹⁹ Now of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast. ²⁰ But Pilate willing to release Jesus, spake again to them. ²¹ But they cried in answer Crucifie, crucifie. ²² And he said unto them the third time, What evil then hath he done? I find no cause of death in him: But I will chastise him, and let [him] go[.] ²³ And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified: and the voices of them, and of the chief priests prevailed.

³⁵ The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. ³⁶ That he who believeth on the Son, may have eternal life: But he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

²² For the Father judgeth no man; but hath given all judgment unto the Son; ²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son, neither honoureth he the Father who hath sent him.

³⁹ But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him, should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [come] upon them, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

¹⁶ These things his disciples minded not at the first: But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and they had done these things unto him.

³² God shalt also glorifie him in himself, and shall straightway glorifie him.

¹⁴ He will glorifie me, for he shall receive of mine and will shew it unto you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall tell it unto you.

¹ These words spake Jesus; and lift up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorifie thy Son, that thy Son may glorifie thee. ² As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that every one whom thou hast given him may have eternal life. ³ And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent into this world. ⁴ I have glorified thee on the earth: And I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorifie thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had from thee before the world was.

⁴⁰ Again therefore they cried out, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

¹² From thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out saying, If thou shalt let this man go, thou art not Cesars friend. For whosoever maketh himself a king, speaketh against Cesar.

¹⁵ But they cried out Away with [him], away with [him], crucifie him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucifie your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cesar.

²³ Him, being given you by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by a wicked hand have fastned to a cross, and slain: ²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of Hades: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured out upon you this, which ye now both see and hear. ³⁴ For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he said himself, The LORD saith unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, ³⁵ Until I make thy foes the footstool of thy feet. ³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that Jesus whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

³⁰ But Peter said unto them. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, and hanged on a tree. ³¹ Him hath God exalted in glory, a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins in him.

³² And Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in his words and in deeds.

³² I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraam, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.

²⁷ For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and her rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the scriptures of the prophets which are read every sabbath, even they have fulfilled [them] in condemning [him.] ²⁸ And finding no cause of death in him, when they had judged him they delivered him to Pilate that he might be slain.

¹⁴ And he said to me, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that just one, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come: ²² And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him the head over all things to the church, ²³ Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

⁹ Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: ¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth; ¹¹ And that every tongue should confess, that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

⁹ He sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of his promise. ¹⁰ For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God. ¹¹ Through faith also the barren Sara her self received strength to conceive a child, when she was past age; because she judged him faithful who had promised. ¹² Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand of the sea, innumerable. ¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners and pilgrims on the earth. ¹⁴ For they that say such things, declare plainly that they seek a country. ¹⁵ And truly if they were mindful of that from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned: ¹⁶ But now they desire a better, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called [their] God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth: Unto him that loved us, and loosed us from [our] sins in his own blood.

¹⁸ He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore; and have the keys of hades and of death.

²⁴ Saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.

⁷ And there was one named Barabbas, who lay bound with them that had made an insurrection, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

³⁵ And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee, shall be called the Son of God.

¹⁸ Who for a certain sedition made in the city and for murder was cast into prison. ¹⁹ Now of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.

²⁵ And he released him that for murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

²⁷ That thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, neither wilt thou deliver thine holy One to see corruption.

²⁷ For of a truth in this city against thy holy Son Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel were gathered together,

⁵² Which of the prophets have not they persecuted? and they have slain those who shewed before of the coming of the just one, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

²¹ He hath made him sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

⁶ Ye have condemned [and] killed the just; he doth not resist you.

¹⁸ For Christ also hath once died for sins for us, the just for the unjust; that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickned by the Spirit:

¹ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write, These things saith he that is true, he that is holy, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no one shutteth, and shutteth and no one openeth.

² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, And came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon [it]. ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. ⁴ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead. ⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified.

⁴ And in him was life, and the life is the light of men.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who he is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou woulst have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.

¹⁴ But whosoever shall drink of the water that I shall give him, will never thirst: but the water that I shall give him, wilt be in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life.

²⁶ For as the living Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself:

²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any one pluck them out of my hand.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; ²⁶ And whosoever liveth, and believeth on me, shall never die. Believest thou this?

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

² As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that every one whom thou hast given him may have eternal life.

²² Beginning from the baptism of John, until the day that he was taken up from us, must one of these be appointed to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of Hades: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

³² This Jesus therefore hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

³¹ Him hath God exalted in glory, a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins in him.

⁴⁰ Him God raised up the third day, and granted him to be made manifest: ⁴¹ Not to all the people, but to witnesses, chosen before of God, to us, who did eat and drink and converse with him after [he] arose from the dead forty days.

³⁰ Whom God raised. ³¹ He was seen many days of them who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are till now his witnesses unto the people. ³² And we declare unto you glad tidings, the promise which was made unto our fathers.

¹ [There is] therefore no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus. ² For the law of the Spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death,

⁴⁵ And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam a quickening spirit.

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],

³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ your life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

¹⁰ For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

¹¹ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son, hath life; he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding that we may know the true God: and we are in him that is true, in his Son. This is the true God, and eternal life.

⁶ And he said unto me. They are done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end: I will give unto him that is athirst, of the water of life freely.

¹ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth, say, Come. Let him that is athirst, come: And he that will, let him take the water of life freely.

²² But he turned him about; and stood still; and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath cured thee. And the woman was cured from that hour.

¹⁹ Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? ²⁰ And he saith unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye shall have faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

²¹ Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this to the fig-tree, but if ye shall say also unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be done, ²² And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

²² And Jesus answering saith unto them, If ye had the faith of God, ²³ Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but what he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.

¹⁷ And these signs shall follow them that believe, in my name shall they call out dæmons: they shall speak with new tongues. ¹⁸ And they shall take up serpents in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not at all hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

⁵ And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. ⁶ But he said unto them, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might have said unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it should have removed;and unto this sycamine-tree, be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

²³ If therefore a man on the sabbath receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; how are ye angry at me, because I have perfectly cured a man on the sabbath?

¹² Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do, shall he do also, and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.

⁶ Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Walk.

⁸ And he leaping up, stood, and walked, rejoicing, and entered with them into the temple, praising God.

³⁰ By stretching forth [thine] hand to heal: and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy Son Jesus.

¹⁴ Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem, heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John. ¹⁵ Who when they were come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost. ¹⁶ For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹ The same heard Paul speak; being in fear: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

¹³ Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call overthem who had evil spirits, the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. ¹⁴ Among whom were also the sons of Sceva a Priest, who would do the same, having the custom to exorcise such persons. And when they had entred in to the Dæmoniack, they began to call on [that] name, saying, We charge thee by Jesus whom Paul preacheth, to go out. ¹⁵ But the evil spirit answered [and] said to them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye? ¹⁶ And the man in whom the evil spirit was, leapt on them, overcame them, and prevailed against them both; so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. ¹⁷ And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

² And though I have prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have no charity, I am nothing.

³⁴ But they parted his raiment, and cast a lot.

²⁶ But lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him: do the rulers know indeed that this is the Christ? ²⁷ But we know him whence he is: but when Christ shall come, no one knoweth whence he is.

⁵² The answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Behold the scriptures: for out of Galilee hath arisen no prophet.

³ And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

⁴⁰ Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.

⁹ I verily thought with my self, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

² God hath not cast away his people whom he foreknew. Know ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel,

⁸ Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

¹⁴ But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away, in the reading of the old testament; which is done away in Christ.

²² But whether I live in the flesh, this [is] worth my while; yet what I shall choose, I wot not.

¹³ Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and injurious. But I obtained mercy, for this cause, that I did [it] ignorantly, in unbelief:

²⁶ That Christ ought to have suffered these things, and to have entred into his glory? ²⁷ And he began from Moses, and all the prophets, to expound unto them in the scriptures, the things concerning himself.

⁴⁴ And he said unto them, These [were] my words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms concerning me.

²³ Him, being given you by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by a wicked hand have fastned to a cross, and slain:

² And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, [and] three sabbaths reasoned with them out of the scriptures, ³ Opening and alledging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead: and that this Jesus whom I preach unto you is Christ.

²² Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great; saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: ²³ That Christ should suffer, that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

²³ And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him unto his lodging; to whom he expounded testifying the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening.

³ For I delivered unto you first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures: ⁴ And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures:

¹⁰ Of which salvation the prophets have enquired, and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace unto you: ¹¹ Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings for Christ, and the glory that should follow.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him: And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not; I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

¹⁵ For this peoples heart is waxed gross and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should mind it with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

³ And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of the heavens.

¹⁶ And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

⁶ When they therefore were come together, they asked of him saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

³⁸ But Peter saith unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

²¹ Whom the heaven must receive, until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets,

¹⁸ When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

²¹ But the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

³ They then being brought on their way by the church, they passed through both Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

²⁶ And he made of one blood, every nation of man, to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times appointed, according to the bound of their habitation:

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn [them] from darkness to light, and[from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me. ¹⁹ Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: ²⁰ But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent, and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

²⁷ For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

²⁵ For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery (lest ye should be wise in your own conceits) that blindness in part is hapned to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

⁷ And to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven, with his mighty angels,

¹⁰ When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that have believed, because our testimony among you was believed in that day.

²⁵ In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

⁷ Submit your selves therefore to God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you: ⁸ Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you: cleanse the hands, ye sinners, and purify the hearts, ye double-minded. ⁹ Be afflicted, and mourn, [and] weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and joy to heaviness. ¹⁰ Humble your selves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

¹⁹ My brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; ²⁰ Let him know, that he who converteth a sinner from the error of his way, shall save his soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

²⁵ For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

⁸ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

⁴ And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; the former things are passed away.

²⁷ For the Son of man will come in the glory of his Father, with his holy angels; and then he shall reward every one according to his practice.

³ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age?

³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man who is in the heavens, and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming upon the clouds of heaven, with great power and glory. ³¹ And he shall send his angels with a trumpet, of a great sound and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. And when these things begin to come to pass, Look up, and lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh. ³² Now learn a parable of the fig-tree: When its branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: ³³ So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors. ³⁴ Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. ³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. ³⁶ But of that day and hour knoweth no one, no, not the Angels of the heavens, neither the Son, but the Father only.

²⁶ And then shall they see the Son of man coming upon the clouds; with great power and glory.

³⁰ Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. ³¹ Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. ³² But of that day or hour knoweth no one, no not the angels who are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. ³³ Take ye heed therefore, watch: for ye know not when the time [is]. ³⁴ As a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. ³⁵ Watch ye therefore, for ye know not when the master of the house cometh; at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning; ³⁶ Lest coming out suddenly, he find you sleeping. ³⁷ And what I say unto you [is], Watch.

¹¹ And as they heard these things, he added, and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because it seemed that the kingdom of God would immediately appear.

²⁷ And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with great power and glory.

³¹ As he hath appointed a day to judge the world in righteousness, by the man Jesus, whom he hath ordained; to give assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

² That ye be not soon shaken from your meaning, or be troubled, neither by spirit, word, or letter, as by us, as that the day of the Lord is immediately at hand.

⁸ And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

²⁸ So Christ also was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time, without sin, unto salvation.

⁷ Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him: even so, Amen.

¹¹ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him faithful and true, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. ¹² His eyes as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written that no one knew but he himself: ¹³ And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipt in blood: and his name hath been called, The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, but clothed in white linen, and clean. ¹⁵ And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of almighty God ¹⁶ And he hath on his thigh a name written, King of Kings[,] and Lord of lords.

¹¹ And he answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall come, [and] shall restore all things: ¹² But I say you, that Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they wished.

¹¹ And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes, Elias must first come? ¹² And he answered and said to them, If Elias cometh first, he will restore all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. ¹³ I say unto you, that Elias is come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they would, as it is written of him.

⁷⁰ Ashe spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, who have been since the world began;

¹¹ And they said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing? This same Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall socome, in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

¹⁹ Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come upon you, from the face of the Lord.

⁴³ To him witness all the prophets, that through his name whosoever believeth in him, shall receive remission of sins.

²¹ Because the creature it self also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption, unto the glorious liberty of the children of God.

²¹ For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake, being moved by the Holy Ghost.

² That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

²⁰ Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and the saints and the apostles and prophets, for God hath avenged you on her.

⁶ And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets hath sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

⁴ Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. ⁵ While he yet spake, behold a bright cloud over-shadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

⁴ And Elias appeared unto them with Moses and talked with Jesus. ⁵ And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and wilt thou that I make thee three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias? ⁶ For he knew not what he should say, for they were sore afraid. ⁷ And there was a cloud overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

³⁰ And behold two men talked with him, who were Moses and Elias. ³¹ Who appeared in glory: But they spake of his decease which he was to accomplish at Jerusalem. ³² But Peter, and they that were with him, were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him. ³³ And it came to pass, as they were separated from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here; wilt thou that I make three tabernacles here, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias?not knowing what things he said. ³⁴ And while he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: but they feared as they entred into the cloud. ³⁵ And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear him.

³³ Nevertheless, I must walk today, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ But he said unto him; What things? The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word, before God and all the people:

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth by Jesus Christ.

²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life.

³⁹ Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testifie of me. ⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life eternal. ⁴¹ I receive not honour from men. ⁴² But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. ⁴³ I am come in my Fathers name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. ⁴⁴ How can ye believe, who receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that is from God only? ⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is that accuseth you, Moses, in whom ye have trusted. ⁴⁶ For had ye believed Moses, ye would also have believed me: for he wrote of me.

⁴⁶ But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

¹² Jesus therefore spake again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

⁴⁶ I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me, should not abide in darkness.

³⁷ This is that Moses who said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me.

³ What the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin condemned sin in the flesh:

⁵ Whose [are] the fathers; and of whom as concerning the flesh is Christ, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

⁴ But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

¹ GOD, who at sundry times, and in divers manners, spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, ² Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the ages.

¹ Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let [them] slip.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. ¹⁰ For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. ¹¹ For both he that sanctifieth, and they who are sanctified, [are] all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them Brethren, ¹² Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the Church will I sing praise unto thee. ¹³ And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children whom God hath given me. ¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children were partakers of blood and flesh, he also himself likewise took part of the same sufferings: that thro death he might destroy [death] that hath the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ And deliver them who through fear of death, were all their life time subject to bondage. ¹⁶ For verily he took not hold of angels; but he took hold of the seed of Abraham. ¹⁷ Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren; that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest, in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people:

¹ THE revelation [of] Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:

¹⁶ For he that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be condemned.

¹⁸ He that believeth on him shall not be judged: but he that believeth not, is judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. ¹⁹ And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that doth evil things hateth the light, lest his deeds should be reproved by the light.

²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your Sins: for if ye believe not me that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

⁴⁸ He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

³⁸ Be it known unto you therefore, Men, Brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins. ³⁹ By him therefore every one that believes is justified before God, from all things by repentance, from which we could not be justified by the law of Moses. ⁴⁰ Beware therefore, lest that come, which is spoken of in the prophet. ⁴¹ Behold, ye despisers, both wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, which you will in no wise believe, though any one declare it unto you: and they held their peace.

⁷ And to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven, with his mighty angels, ⁸ In a flame of fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus: ⁹ Who shall be punished with eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power:

³ How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];

²⁸ He that despised Moses law, died without mercy and tears, under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath troden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? ³⁰ For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompence. And again, That the Lord shall judge his people.

³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition: but of them that believe, to the saving of the soul.

²⁵ Seethat ye refuse not him that speaketh to you: For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more we, if we turn away from him that is from the heavens:

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose name is [not] written in the book of life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world.

¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.

²⁷ And he began from Moses, and all the prophets, to expound unto them in the scriptures, the things concerning himself.

²⁰ And he gave judges, until four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

⁹ And think not to say within your selves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of there stones to raise up children unto Abraham. ¹⁰ Now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

⁷² To perform the mercy to our fathers, to remember his holy covenant;

³⁹ For the promise is ours, and to our children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.

¹³ For the promise that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

⁴ Who are Israelites; to whom is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenant, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promise; ⁵ Whose [are] the fathers; and of whom as concerning the flesh is Christ, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

⁸ For I say, that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises unto the fathers:

⁸ And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

¹⁶ Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, who is Christ.

²⁹ And if ye be one in Christ Jesus, then indeed are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, That thou art worthy to take the book, and to [open] the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed [them] to God by thy blood, out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

⁹ After this I beheld a great multitude, and no man could number them, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, cloathed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

⁶ And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

⁵ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, and said, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into a city of Samaritans enter ye not. ⁶ But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

¹⁰ And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, and it shall be to all people. ¹¹ For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord.

⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, as far as all nations;beginning at Jerusalem.

⁸ But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

¹⁵ And killed the prince of life, whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

²⁰ And he shall send Jesus Christ, who was before ordained for you.

²² Moses truly said unto our fathers, A prophet shall the Lord our God raise up unto you, of our brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

²⁵ Yeare the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

³² And we declare unto you glad tidings, the promise which was made unto our fathers. ³³ For thus hath God fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus Christ again; as it is also written in the first psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for thy possession.

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas waxed bold,and said unto them, The word of God was to be first spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge your selves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so hath the Lord commanded us, Behold I have set thee to be a light to the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

⁴ But entering into the synagogue every sabbath, he reasoned; and proposing the name of the Lord Jesus, he persuaded not only the Jews, but the Greeks also. ⁵ And when Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed by the word, and testified to the Jews, that Jesus was the Lord. ⁶ But when there had been much discourse, and the scriptures had been interpreted, and when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, Paul shook [his] raiment, and said unto them. Your blood [be] upon your head; I [am] clean; I go to the Gentiles.

²⁰ But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent, and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

²³ And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him unto his lodging; to whom he expounded testifying the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening. ²⁴ And some believed the things which were spoken, but some believed not. ²⁵ And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word. Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the Prophet, unto our fathers, ²⁶ saying, Go unto this people, and say unto them, Hearing, ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive. ²⁷ For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. ²⁸ Be it known therefore unto you, that this salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and [that] they will hear it.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the Gospel: for it is the Power of God unto salvation, to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek,

⁹ Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that doth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile. ¹⁰ Glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.

²⁹ And I know that when I come unto you, I shall come in the full assurance of the blessing of Christ.

⁹ So then, they who be of faith, are blessed with faithful Abraham. ¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law, are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in te book of the law to do them. ¹¹ But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [is] evident: For it is written, that The just shall live by faith. ¹² And the law is not of faith: but, He that doth them, shall live in them. ¹³ Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: It is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree: ¹⁴ That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things in Christ:

²⁶ That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water, by the word, ²⁷ That he might himself present it a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

¹¹ For the grace of God that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men: ¹² Teaching us, that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world; ¹³ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ: ¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

⁹ Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise, blessing; because ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

⁵ And ye know that he was manifested to take away sins; and in him is no sin. ⁶ Whosoever abideth in him, sinneth not: whosoever sinneth, hath not seen him, neither known him. ⁷ Little children let not any one deceive you: He that doth righteousness, is righteous, even as he is righteous: ⁸ But he that committeth sin, is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

⁴ [There were] sealed, an hundred forty four thousand, of all the tribes of Israel. ⁵ Ofthe tribe of Juda [were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand. ⁶ Of the tribe of Aser twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim twelve thousand. Of the trie of Manasses twelve thousand, ⁷ Of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Isachar twelve thousand. ⁸ Of the tribe of Zabulon twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand. ⁹ After this I beheld a great multitude, and no man could number them, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, cloathed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
