⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

⁴⁸ But if that evil servant say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming: ⁴⁹ And shall begin to smite his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken:

¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord of all, is rich to all that call upon him.

²² Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God! Toward them that fell severity; but toward thee goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: else shalt thou also be cut off.

³³ O the depth of the riches, and wisdom, and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

¹⁹ And my God shall supply all your need, according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

²⁷ To whom among the Gentiles it was the will of God to make known, what is the riches of this glorious mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

² That their hearts may be comforted, being knit together in love, even unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, unto the acknowledgment of the mystery of God,

¹⁷ And coming to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger? ¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee: ¹⁹ I am no more worthy to be called thy son; make me as one of thy hired servants.

⁵ And Jesus, when he came to the place, looking up saw him, and said to him, Zaccheus, make haste and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. ⁶ And he made haste and came down, and received him joyfully. ⁷ And seeing it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone to be guest with a sinner. ⁸ And Zaccheus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken any thing from any man wrongfully, I restore him fourfold.

²⁵ Whom God hath set forth as a propitiation, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness by the remission of past sins, through the forbearance of God: For a demonstration,

¹ What shall we say then? We will continue in sin that grace may abound?

¹⁵ What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

²² What if God, being willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, yet endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted for destruction? ²³ And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, whom he had before prepared for glory?

⁷ by which he hath freely accepted us through the beloved, By whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our sins,

¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being inlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁴ But God who is rich in mercy,

⁷ That he might shew in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints is this grace given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

¹⁶ family in heaven and earth is named) That he would give you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man, That Christ may dwell in your heart by faith:

¹⁶ Yet for this cause I obtained mercy, that on me the chief Jesus Christ might shew all long-suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe in him to life everlasting.

¹⁷ Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy:

⁴ But when the kindness and philanthropy of God our Saviour appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. ⁶ Which he poured forth richly upon us,

²⁰ Who some time disbelieved, when the long-suffering of God waited in the Days of Noah, while the ark was preparing, wherein few, that is, eight persons were saved through the water:

³ that there will come scoffers in the last days,

⁹ The Lord is not slow concerning his promise (tho' some men count it slowness) but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹⁵ And account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation, as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you:

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and sup with him, and he with me.
