¹ Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest; for wherein thou judgest the other, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost the same things.

¹ Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ² ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you. ³ And why beholdest thou the mote in thy brother's eye, but observest not the beam in thine own eye? ⁴ Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote from thine eye, and behold a beam is in thine own eye? ⁵ Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote out of thy brother's eye.

²⁹ Wo to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye build the tombs of the prophets, and adorn the sepulchres of the righteous. ³⁰ And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. ³¹ Wherefore ye testify against yourselves, that ye are the sons of them who killed the prophets.

³⁷ Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemed; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

²² And he saith to him, Out of thy own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping what I did not sow.

⁷ And as they continued asking him, he raised himself and said to them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. ⁸ Then stooping down again, he wrote an the ground. ⁹ But they who heard it, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven, against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who detain the truth in unrighteousness. ¹⁹ For what is to be known of God, is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it to them. ²⁰ For those things of him which are invisible, both his eternal power and Godhead, are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being understood by the things which are made, so that they are without excuse:

³ And thinkest thou this, O man, who judgest them that do such things, and dost the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

²¹ Thou therefore that teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? Thou that proclaimest, a man should not steal, dost thou steal? ²² Thou that sayst, a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? Thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? ²³ Thou that gloriest in the law, dost thou by transgressing the law dishonour God?

²⁶ Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? ²⁷ Yea, the uncircumcision that is by nature, fulfilling the law, shall judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision transgressest the law.

²⁰ For who hath resisted his will? Nay, but who art thou, O man, that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

¹⁶ For how knowest thou, O wife, but thou mayst save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O husband, but thou mayst save thy wife?

²⁰ But art thou willing to know, O empty man, that faith without works is dead?

¹¹ Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law. But if thou judgest the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
