¹ And afterward he went through every city and village preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God; and the twelve were with him.

¹ And when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence, to teach and to preach in their cities.

¹⁹ and considereth it not, the wicked one cometh, and catcheth away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the way-side.

¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Fear not; for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. ¹¹ For to you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

¹⁸ he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me, to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

⁴³ And he said to them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also; for therefore am I sent. ⁴⁴ And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.

¹⁵ But how shall they preach, unless they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the glad tidings of good things!

¹⁴ Simon (whom also he named Peter) and Andrew his brother: ¹⁵ James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; Matthew and Thomas, ¹⁶ James the son of Alpheus, and Simon called Zelotes, Jude the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, who also was the traitor.

³⁸ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.

³² And we declare to you glad tidings, that the promise which was made to the fathers,
