¹⁹ And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, Those concerning Jesus of Nazareth (who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,

¹¹ And the multitude said, This is Jesus, the prophet, from Nazareth of Galilee.

²⁴ what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy one of God.

¹⁶ And fear seized all, and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is risen up among us; and, God hath visited his people.

² The same came to him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know, that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles which thou dost, except God be with him.

¹⁹ The woman saith to him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

¹⁴ Then those men, having seen the miracle which Jesus did, said, Of a truth this is the prophet that was to come into the world.

⁴⁰ Many of the people therefore hearing this discourse, said, Certainly this is the prophet. ⁴¹ Others said, This is the Christ. ⁴² But some said, Doth Christ come out of Galilee? Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the town where David was?

⁵² They answered and said to him, Art thou also a Galilean?

²² Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man pointed out to you of God, by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God wrought by him in the midst of you, as yourselves also know:

²² And Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

³⁸ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.
