¹ When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus, to put him to death. ² And having bound him, they led him away and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governour.

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude, to ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

¹ And straightway in the morning the chief priests consulted with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, and having bound Jesus, carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

⁶⁶ And when it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together,

¹³ And Pilate having called together the chief priests, and the rulers,

⁸ Then Peter filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, ⁹ If we are examined this day, of the benefit done to the impotent man, ¹⁰ by what means he is healed, Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead, by him doth this man stand before you whole.

²⁷ For of a truth, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, ²⁸ To do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel before determined to be done.

³⁰ The God of our fathers hath raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, hanging him on a tree. ³¹ Him hath God exalted, a Prince and a Saviour with his right-hand, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, neither knowing him, nor the sayings of the prophets, which are read very sabbath-day, have fulfilled them, in condemning him. ²⁸ And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate, that he might be put to death. ²⁹ And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, taking him down from the tree, they laid him in a sepulchre.
