³⁷ On the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink.

³ For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

²⁸ Come to me, all ye that labour, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

²³ What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

¹⁴ But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him, will never thirst; but the water that I shall give him, will be in him a fountain of water, springing up into everlasting life.

⁴⁰ Yet ye will not come to me, that ye may have life.

³⁵ He that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

³⁷ All that the Father giveth me, will come to me, and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.

⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

²⁸ Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Do ye both know me, and know whence I am? And yet I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

⁶ Jesus saith, I am the way; and the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father, but by me.

⁴ And all drank the same spiritual drink (for they drank out of the spiritual rock which followed them; and that rock was Christ) Yet, with the most of them, God was not well-pleased;

²¹ Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of devils.

²⁵ In like manner also he took the cup after he had supped, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: do this as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

¹³ For we are all baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, whether slaves or freemen; and we have all drank of one Spirit.

¹⁸ And be not drunken with wine,

⁶ And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him that thirsteth of the fountain of the water of life freely.

¹ And he shewed me a river of the water of life clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

¹⁷ And let him that thirsteth, come: let him that willeth, take the water of life freely.
