¹⁶ These things his disciples understood not at first; but when Jesus had been glorified, then they remembered, that these things were written of of him, and that they had done these things to him.

³² But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

¹⁹ So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat on the right-hand of God.

¹ The sum of what hath been spoken is, We have such an high priest, who is set down at the right-hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

⁴⁵ But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, so that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of this saying.

³⁴ And they understood none of these things; and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

⁶ He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spake to you being yet in Galilee, ⁷ Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and rise again the third day. ⁸ And they remembered his words,

²⁵ Then he said to them, O foolish, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

⁴⁵ Then opened he their understanding,

²² and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

³⁹ This he spake of the Spirit, which they who believed on him were to receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

³¹ Jesus saith, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified by him. ³² If God be glorified by him, God will also glorify him with himself, and will shortly glorify him.

²⁶ the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said to you.

⁴ But I have told you these things, that when the time shall come, ye may remember I told you them. I did not tell you these things at the beginning, because I was with you.

⁵ And now, Father, glorify thou me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee, before the world was.

³³ Being therefore exalted by the right-hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, That God hath made this Jesus whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ.

¹³ The God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his son Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and renounced him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to release him.

² who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right-hand of the throne of God.
