¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous, to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

⁴² And whosoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

³⁵ For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: ³⁶ I was a stranger, and ye took me in; Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me. ³⁷ Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? ³⁸ When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? Or naked, and clothed thee? ³⁹ Or when saw we thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? ⁴⁰ And the king shall answer and say to them, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye did it to me.

⁴¹ because ye belong to Christ, verily I say to you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

¹³ Communicate to the necessities of the saints, pursue hospitality, Bless them who persecute you;

¹⁶ For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again to my necessities. ¹⁷ Not that I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. ¹⁸ But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received of Epaphroditus the things which came from you, an odour of a sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

²⁰ Verily, verily I say unto you, he that receiveth whomsoever I send, receiveth me, and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.

⁴⁴ And all that believed were together, and had all things common, ⁴⁵ And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, as any one had need.

³⁴ For neither was there any one among them that lacked: for whosoever were possessors of houses or lands sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, ³⁵ And laid them down at the feet of the apostles, and distribution was made to every one, according as any had need.

³⁶ Now there was at Joppa, a certain disciple, named Tabitha, which is by interpretation Dorcas; this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. ³⁷ And in those days she was sick and died; whom having washed, they laid in an upper chamber. ³⁸ And Lydda being near Joppa, the disciples hearing Peter was there, sent to him two men, desiring that he would not delay to come to them. ³⁹ Then Peter arose and went with them; whom being come, they brought into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

⁴ And looking stedfastly on him, and being affrighted, he said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thy alms are come up for a memorial before God.

³¹ and behold a man stood before me in bright clothing, And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are remembred before God.

²⁹ Then the disciples determined to send relief, every one according to his ability, to the brethren who dwelt in Judea: Which also they did,

⁴ God forbid: let God be true, and every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. ⁵ But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is not God unjust, who taketh vengeance?

²⁵ But I am now going to Jerusalem, serving the saints. For it hath ²⁶ pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a collection for the poor of the saints that are in Jerusalem. ²⁷ It hath pleased them, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have partook of their spiritual things, they ought to minister to them in carnal things.

⁴ Love suffereth long and is kind; love envieth not; love acteth not rashly, is not puffed up: ⁵ Doth not behave indecently, seeketh not her own, is not provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not at iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: ⁶ Covereth all things, ⁷ believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

¹ Concerning the collection for the saints, as I have ordered the churches of Galatia, so also do ye. ² On the first day of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store according as he hath been prospered, that there may be no collections when I come. ³ And when I am come, whomsoever ye shall approve, them will I send with letters, to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

¹ Moreover, brethren, we declare to you the grace of God, bestowed on the churches in Macedonia, ² That in a great trial of affliction, their overflowing joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their liberality: ³ That to their power, I testify, and beyond their power, they were willing of themselves, ⁴ Praying us with much intreaty, to receive the gift and take a part in ministring it to the saints. ⁵ And this they did, not as we hoped; but first gave themselves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God: ⁶ So that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also compleat this gift among you. ⁷ Therefore as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. ⁸ I speak not by way of command, but that by the diligence of others, I may prove the sincerity of your love. ⁹ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

¹ For concerning the ministring to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you.

¹¹ Being inriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which worketh by us thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the administration of this service, doth not only supply the necessities of the saints, but likewise aboundeth by the thanksgivings of many to God: ¹³ (Who, by experiment of this administration, glorify God for your avowed subjection to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal communication to them and to all men.) ¹⁴ And by their prayer for you, who long after you, for the exceeding grace of God, which is in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.

¹³ Brethren, ye have been called to liberty: only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

¹⁰ Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good unto all men; but especially to them who are of the houshold of faith.

¹⁷ And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks unto God and the Father through him.

³ Remembring without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father:

⁶ Seeing it is a righteous thing with God, to recompence affliction to them that afflict you. ⁷ And to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels,

¹⁸ To do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate,

¹⁷ But when he was at Rome, he sought me out very diligently and found me. ¹⁸ The Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord in that day: And in how many things he served me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge will render me in that day, and not to me only, but to all them likewise that have loved his appearing.

⁵ and love ⁶ toward all saints) That the communication of thy faith may become effectual, by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you through Christ Jesus. ⁷ For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

¹⁶ But to do good, and to distribute, forget not; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

¹⁵ Can that faith save him? If a brother or a sister be naked, ¹⁶ and want daily food, And one of you say to them, Depart in peace; be ye warmed and filled, but give them not the things needful for the body, what doth it profit? ¹⁷ So likewise faith, if it hath not works, is dead in itself.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful, and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹⁴ We know, that we are passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not his brother abideth in death. ¹⁵ Whosoever hateth his brother is a murtherer, and ye know that no murtherer hath eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? ¹⁸ My beloved children, let us love not in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
