¹⁸ Who have erred from the faith, saying, The resurrection is already past, and overthrow the faith of some.

⁸ Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth: men of corrupt minds, void of judgment as to the faith. ⁹ But they shall proceed no farther; for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as theirs also was.

³ For the time will come, when they will not endure sound doctrine, but will heap to themselves teachers, according to their own desires, having itching ears. ⁴ And they will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables.

¹⁸ And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom; to whom be the glory for ever, and ever.

³ And he hath in due time manifested his word, thro' the preaching wherewith I am intrusted, according to the commandment of God our Saviour:

¹⁰ For there are many unruly vain-talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision, ¹¹ Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole families, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of filthy gain.

¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

¹⁰ An heretic after a first and second admonition reject,

⁵ For he hath not subjected to the angels the world to come, whereof we speak.

¹⁴ Since then the children partake of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil:

⁴ For it is impossible, that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. ⁵ Therefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou hast not chosen, but a body hast thou prepared for me. ⁶ Burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast not delighted in. ⁷ Then I said, Lo I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me) to do thy will, O God. ⁸ Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering, and burnt-offerings and offering for sin thou hast not chosen, neither delighted in, which are offered by the law: ⁹ Then said he, Lo, I come, to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second: ¹⁰ By which will we are sanctified, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, by the blood of the everlasting covenant, ²¹ Make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight thro' Christ Jesus; to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹ James a servant of God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

⁴ Ye adulterers and adultresses, know ye not, that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever therefore desireth to be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.

⁸ Whom having not seen, ye love: in whom tho' ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

¹⁵ But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation:

²¹ Who thro' him believe in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope, might be in God.

²⁴ Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sin might live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh,

¹⁰ Now the God of all grace, who hath called us by Christ Jesus to his eternal glory, after ye have suffered a while, himself shall perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. ¹¹ To him be the glory and the might for ever and ever. Amen.

³ As his divine power hath given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, thro' the knowledge of him that hath called us by glory and virtue,

¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, as there shall likewise be false teachers among you, who will privily bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many will follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of. ³ And through covetousness will they with feigned speeches make merchandize of you, whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not.

¹⁴ Having eyes full of adultery, and that cease not from sin; beguiling unstable souls, having hearts exercised with covetousness, accursed children:

¹⁸ But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity! Amen.

² and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

¹⁵ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world: if any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eye, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. ¹⁷ And the world passeth away, and the desire thereof; but he that doth the will of God abideth for ever. ¹⁸ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that Antichrist cometh, so even now there are many Antichrists, whereby we know that it is the last time. ¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest, that they were not all of us.

²⁶ These things have I written to you, concerning them that seduce you.

⁹ Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed abideth in him, and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

¹⁶ Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

⁴ For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. ⁵ Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

¹⁹ but he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the wicked one toucheth him not. We know, that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the wicked one. ²⁰ But we know that the Son of God is come; and he hath given us an understanding that we may know the true one; and we are in the true one, even in his Son Jesus Christ; this is the true God and eternal life.

³ Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

⁷ For many seducers are entered into the world, who confess not Jesus Christ that came in the flesh.

¹⁰ he that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If any come to you, and bring not this doctrine,

¹ Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are beloved of God the Father, and preserved through Jesus Christ,

⁴ For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were of old described before with regard to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

²⁵ To the only God, our Saviour, be glory, and majesty, might and authority, both now and to all ages. Amen.

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first begotten from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth:

¹⁸ And he that liveth and was dead, and behold I am alive for evermore, and have the keys of death and of Hades.

² I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, that thou canst not bear evil men; and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast patience,

⁶ But thou hast this, that thou hatest the works of the Nicola?tans, which I also hate.

⁸ And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write, These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against thee, that thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication. ¹⁵ So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicola?tans, which I hate.

²⁰ But I have against thee, that thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who callest herself a prophetess, and teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

⁹ And when the living creatures give glory, and honour, and thanks, to him that sitteth upon the throne, ¹⁰ that liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sitteth upon the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, ¹¹ saying, Worthy art thou, O Lord our God, to receive the glory, and the honour, and the power, for thou hast created all things, and through thy will they are, and were created.

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book and to open the seals thereof; for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive the power, and the riches, and the wisdom,

⁹ After this I saw, and behold a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes and palms in their hands.

¹² the blessing, and the glory, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the honour, and the power, and the strength, be to our God for ever and ever.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the antient serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out unto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

¹⁴ And he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the wonders which it is given him to do before the wild beast: saying to them that dwell on the earth, to make an image to the wild beast, which had the wound by the sword, and yet lived.

⁷ and tribe, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and fountains of water.

²⁰ And the wild beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who had wrought the miracles before him, with which he deceived them who had the mark of the wild beast, and them who had worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

³ And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he might deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled. After this he must be loosed for a small time.

¹⁸ I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man add to them, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book. ¹⁹ And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part of the tree of life, and the holy city, which are written in this book.

²¹ The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
