² which abideth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

⁷ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done for you.

²³ And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I may be partaker thereof with you.

⁵ For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart unto the Lord.

⁵ Remembering the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; I am persuaded in thee also.

²³ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever. ²⁴ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass: The grass is withered, and the flower thereof is fallen off; ²⁵ But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you by the gospel.

¹² Wherefore I will not neglect always to remind you of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth,

⁸ If we say, we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

¹⁴ I have written to you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written to you young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

¹⁷ And the world passeth away, and the desire thereof; but he that doth the will of God abideth for ever.
