And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. ¹⁵ And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas to them, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified.

³⁹ But ye have a custom that I should release to you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release to you the King of the Jews? ⁴⁰ Then they all cried again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
