¹³ And He was there in the wilderness forty days being tested by Satan, and was with the wild animals; and the angels were ministering to Him.

¹⁰ Then Jesus says to him: “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written: ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only shall you serve’.” ¹¹ Then the devil leaves Him, and then, angels came and began ministering to Him.

⁵³ Do you actually suppose that I cannot call upon my Father right now and He will place beside me more than twelve legions of angels?

¹⁶ Yes, the mystery of our religion is confessedly great: God was manifested in flesh, was vindicated in spirit, was revealed to angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed in the world, was received up in glory!

¹⁷ That is why He was obliged to become like those ‘brothers’ in all respects, so that He could be a merciful and faithful high priest, in what concerns God, with a view to making propitiation for the sins of the people. ¹⁸ For in that in which He Himself endured suffering, having been tested, He is able to assist those who are being tested.

¹⁵ For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but He was tested in all points, in similar ways, without sin.
