¹ A beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Son of God!

¹⁷ And wow, a Voice from the heavens saying, “This is my Son, the beloved, in whom I am always well pleased!”

³ And coming to Him the tempter said, “Since you are the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread”.

³³ Then those who were in the boat came and worshipped Him saying, “Truly you are the Son of God!”

⁵ While he was still speaking a brilliant cloud overshadowed them and, double wow, a Voice came out of the cloud saying: “This is my beloved Son in whom I am always well pleased. Hear Him!”

² just as those who became eyewitnesses, from the beginning, and ministers of the Word delivered them to us, ³ it seemed good to me also, most excellent Theophilus, having taken careful note of everything from Above, to write to you with precision and in sequence,

³⁵ In answer the angel said to her: “Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will hover over you; precisely for this reason the holy One who is to be born will be called ‘Son of God’!

¹⁰ The angel said to them: “Do not be afraid because listen, I am announcing the most joyful news to you, which will be to all the people! ¹¹ You see, today, in David’s city, a Savior was born to you, who is Lord Christ!

¹⁴ So the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we observed His glory, glory of an Only-begotten, from the Father, full of grace and truth.

³⁴ So I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

⁴⁹ In answer Nathanael says to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

¹⁶ Because God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes into Him should not be wasted but should have eternal life.

⁶⁹ Further, we have come to believe and to know that you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!”

³¹ but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life through His Name.

¹ The first account I prepared, Theophilus [God-lover], concerned all that Jesus began to do and to teach ² until the day in which He was taken back, after He had given commandment, by Holy Spirit, to the apostles whom He had chosen;

¹ Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, having been set apart to the Gospel of God, ² which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures: ³ concerning His Son, who became a physical descendant of David, ⁴ who was established to be God’s powerful Son (according to His spirit of holiness) by resurrection from the dead —Jesus Christ our Lord—

³ Further, what the law could not do, in that it was weak due to the flesh, God has done by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned the sin in the flesh,

³² He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up on behalf of us all, how shall He not with Him also graciously give us all things?

¹ God, having spoken to the fathers through the prophets in many parts and in various ways, in the past, ² has at the end of these days spoken to us by Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the ages;

¹ That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have witnessed with our eyes, that which we contemplated and our hands handled with reference to the word of the Life ² —oh yes, the Life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and declare to you that eternal Life who was in the presence of the Father and was manifested to us— ³ that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, so that you also may have fellowship with us; indeed, our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
