¹ The elder, to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth—and not I only, but also all who have known the truth—

³ it seemed good to me also, most excellent Theophilus, having taken careful note of everything from Above, to write to you with precision and in sequence,

³² and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will make you free.”

⁵ to whom we did not yield, even for a moment, so that the truth of the Gospel might continue with you.—

¹⁴ So when I saw that they were not walking straight according to the truth of the Gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all: “If you, being a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, why do you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?

¹ O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you not be persuaded by the Truth —Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as having been crucified, before your very eyes!

⁷ You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?

⁴ just as He\up6 [F]\up0 chose us in Him\up6 [S]\up0 before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him\up6 [F]\up0, in love, ⁵ having predestined us into an adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, into Him\up6 [S]\up0, according to the good pleasure of His\up6 [F]\up0 will,

⁵ because of the hope that is being reserved for you in the heavens, of which you have already heard through the Word of the Truth

³ continually remembering before our God and Father your work for the Faith and your labor coming from the Love and your perseverance based on the Hope, our Lord Jesus Christ being their source, ⁴ knowing as we do, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen.

¹³ Now we are obligated to always give thanks to God about you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you into salvation, through sanctification of spirit and belief in truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you through our gospel, so as to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ who desires all men to be saved and to come into a real knowledge of Truth.

²⁶ Because, if we deliberately keep on sinning after having received the real knowledge of the Truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

² elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the setting apart of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

²² Since you have purified your souls by obeying the truth through the Spirit, resulting in sincere brotherly love, you must love one another fervently from a pure heart, ²³ having been begotten again, not from a corruptible seed but an incorruptible, through the living Word of God that remains valid forever.

¹ The elders who are among you I exhort, I, the fellow elder and witness of Christ’s sufferings; also the partaker of the glory that is to be revealed:

²¹ I have not written to you because you don’t know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the Truth.

¹⁸ My dear children, let us not love in word or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth

² because of the Truth, who abides in us and will be with us into the age: ³ Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, will be with you in truth and love.

⁵ And now I put a request to you, lady (not as though writing a new commandment to you, but one that we have from the beginning): that we love one another.

¹³ The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.

¹³ I had many things to write, but I do not wish to write to you with pen and ink; ¹⁴ rather I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. Peace to you. The friends here greet you. Greet the friends there by name.
