² I will tell God, ‘Do not condemn me. Show me why you contend with me.

⁵ If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty. ⁶ If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

²⁹ I will be condemned. Why then do I labor in vain?

³¹ “For has any said to God, ‘I am guilty, but I will not offend any more. ³² Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?

As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me. ⁵ My wounds are loathsome and corrupt because of my foolishness. ⁶ I am in pain and bowed down greatly. ²¹ But deal with me, Yahweh the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;

²³ Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. ²⁴ See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.

² Don’t enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no man living is righteous.

⁴⁰ Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh. ⁴¹ Let’s lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens. ⁴² “We have transgressed and have rebelled. You have not pardoned.

¹⁶ The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned! ¹⁷ For this our heart is faint. For these things our eyes are dim.

¹ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

³¹ For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged. ³² But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
