Zechariah 10:1 Cross References - VIN

¹ Ask of the LORD rain in the spring time, the LORD who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.

¹³ »If you faithfully obey my commandments that I give you today, love the LORD your God, and serve him with all your heart and with all your being, ¹⁴ then he will send rain on the land in its season the early and latter rains then you'll gather grain, new wine, and oil.

²³ The sky above your head will become bronze while the ground beneath you will become iron.

¹ Elijah the Tishbite from Tishbe of Gilead said to Ahab, "As the LORD lives, the God of Israel before whom I stand, there shall surely not be dew nor rain these years except by my command."

⁴¹ And Elijah said to Ahab, "Get up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of a heavy rain." ⁴² So Ahab went up to eat and to drink while Elijah went to the top of Carmel, bent down to the earth, and put his face between his knees. ⁴³ He said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. He went up and looked, and said, There is nothing. He said seven times, Go again. ⁴⁴ On the seventh time, he said, “Behold, a small cloud, like a man's hand, is rising out of the sea.” He said, “Go up, tell Ahab, 'Get ready and go down, so that the rain doesn't stop you.'” ⁴⁵ In a little while, the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

²³ They waited for me as for the rain. Their mouths drank as with the spring rain.

²⁷ "He draws up drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams. ²⁸ "The clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind. ²⁹ "Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion? ³⁰ "See how he scatters his lightning, bathing the depths of the sea. ³¹ "This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance.

¹ "About this also my heart trembles, and it leaps from its place. ² Listen carefully to the thunder of His voice, and the rumbling that comes out from His mouth. ³ He releases his lightning throughout the sky, to the ends of the earth. ⁴ After it, his voice roars; it thunders with his majestic voice, and he does not restrain it when his voice is heard. ⁵ God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things, and we do not understand. ⁶ "He says to the snow: 'Fall on the earth.' He says to the rain: 'Be strong.'

⁹ You care for the land and water it; you greatly enrich it. The stream of God is filled with waters. You provide their grain, for so you have established it.

⁶ May he descend like rain on mown grass, like showers watering the earth.

¹³ He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

¹⁵ The light of the king's face causes life. His favor is like a gentle rain in spring.

⁶ "It will turn into a desert, neither pruned nor cultivated. It will be covered with thorns and briars. I will command the clouds not to send rain."

²³ the LORD will give you rain for the seed that you plant in the ground, and the food that the ground provides will be rich and nourishing. When that day comes, your cattle will graze in large pastures.

³ For I will pour water upon the thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants:

¹³ He speaks, and the water in the sky produces a storm. He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning flash with the rain. He brings wind out of his storehouses.

²² Can any of the worthless gods of the nations make it rain? Can the heavens themselves bring forth showers? Aren't you the one who does this, LORD our God? So we hope in you, for you are the one who does all these things.

¹⁶ When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens. He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

²⁶ And I will make them a blessing round about my hill: and I will send down the rain in its season, there shall be showers of blessing.

³⁷ "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'I will also let the people of Israel ask me to make them as numerous as sheep.

³ Let us acknowledge the LORD. Let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, The LORD will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth."

¹² Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and rains righteousness on you.

²³ Be glad, O children of Zion, be glad and rejoice in the LORD your God, because he has given for you the autumn rains for your righteousness, and he has poured down for you rainwater, the autumn and spring rains, as before. ²⁴ The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.

⁷ "I withheld rain from you three months before the harvest. I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One received rain. The other did not receive rain and it dried up.

⁷ The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples, like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, that do not wait for man, nor wait for the sons of men.

⁷ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

²³ In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

⁶ I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.

⁷ Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer anticipates the precious fruit of the soil as he patiently awaits the fall and spring rains.

¹⁶ Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. ¹⁷ Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. ¹⁸ Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops.
