O LORD, the king will rejoice in your strength, and how greatly he will delight in your help. ² You have given him the desire of his heart, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah ³ You go before him with wonderful blessings, and put a crown of fine gold on his head. ⁴ He asked life from you; you gave it to him— length of days forever and ever. ⁵ By thy salvation his glory is great. Thou wilt confer on him honour and majesty. ⁶ Indeed, you have given him eternal blessings; you will make him glad with the joy of your presence. ⁷ For the king trusts in the LORD, and in the mercy of the Most High; he will not be shaken. ⁸ Your hand will find all your enemies, your right hand will find those who hate you. ⁹ When you appear, you will set them ablaze like a fire furnace. In his wrath, the LORD will consume them, and the fire will devour them. ¹⁰ You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men. ¹¹ Though they plot evil against you and devise schemes, they will not succeed. ¹² For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face. ¹³ Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength. We will sing and praise your power.

⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill."

⁵ May we shout for joy at your deliverance and unfurl our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. ⁶ Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy Heaven with the saving strengths of His right hand.

⁹ Save, LORD. Let the King answer us when we call.

⁷ The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I received help. My heart exalts, and I give thanks to him with my song.

¹⁶ But I will sing to Your strength, and in the morning will I rejoice in Your mercy; for You have been my supporter, and my refuge in the day of my affliction. ¹⁷ My Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, God of Gracious Love, are my fortress.

⁷ My salvation and my glory depend on God. God is the rock of my strength, my refuge.

¹¹ But the king shall rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will praise him, for the mouth of those who speak lies shall be silenced.

¹⁷ O God, you have taught me from my youth: and to this day have I declared your wondrous works.

¹ Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

⁴ The King's strength also loves justice. You do establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

¹⁴ The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. ¹⁵ The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does mighty things.

⁶ For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

² and asked, "Where is the one who was born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."

² Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁸ "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. ⁹ "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!"

⁴ He will give you according to your heart, and fulfill all your plans. ⁵ May we shout for joy at your deliverance and unfurl our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.

⁴ Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

¹¹ My eyes gloat over those who spy on me. My ears hear the evildoers attacking me.

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth. ⁷ Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to the one who is despised, to the abhorred of the nation, the servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of the LORD who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you." ⁸ Thus says the LORD, "In a season acceptable I answer you. And in a day of salvation I help you. And I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to set up the land, to allot the desolated allotments, ⁹ to say to the bound, Come! To them in darkness, Expose! They graze in the ways with their pastures in all the barrens: ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor shall they thirst, nor shall the burning wind nor the sun smite them; but he who hath compassion on them will comfort them and lead them to bursting springs of water. ¹¹ "I will make all my mountains a road. My highways will be raised up. ¹² Lo, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim

²⁵ Therefore He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them.

¹³ Then Samuel took the bottle of oil, and put the oil on him there among his brothers: and from that day the spirit of the Lord came on David with power. So Samuel went back to Ramah.

⁴ And the men of Judah came, and there anointed David king over the house of Judah. When it was told David, how the men of Jabesh in Gilead had buried Saul,

³ So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel.

³⁰ He took the crown of their king from off his head; and its weight was a talent of gold, and in it were precious stones; and it was set on David's head. He brought a great quantity of plunder out of the city.

² And David took the crown of Milcom from off his head; its weight was a talent of gold and it had stones of great price in it; and it was put on David's head, and he took a great store of goods from the town.

⁴¹ Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength: let your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.

¹¹ "Who has preceded me that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is mine.

¹⁸ They confronted me on the day of disaster, but the LORD was my support.

¹⁹ Oh how great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men.

¹⁰ My God of loving-kindness will come to meet me. He will let me gloat over those who spy on me.

⁴ Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?

³⁵ “Who has given so much to God, that God should repay him?”

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He had a name written which no one knows but he himself.

³ Look, and answer me, LORD, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;

¹⁰ You do not abandon me to the grave or allow your holy one to decay. ¹¹ You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me with joy with Your countenance: at Your right hand there are delights forever.

⁵ For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. ⁶ You will add to the days of the king's life; his years will be for many generations.

¹⁷ His name endures forever, his name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in him, all nations will call him blessed.

²⁹ I will establish his dynasty forever, and his throne as long as heaven endures.

³⁶ His offspring will endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. ³⁷ It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky." Selah.

¹⁶ With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

⁷⁷ Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.

¹⁷⁵ Let me live that it may praise you. May your ordinances help me.

³ Like the dew of Hermon, which fell upon the hill of Zion. For there the LORD promised his blessing, and life forevermore.

¹⁸ the Living One. I was dead, and behold, now I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and of Hades.

⁸ "Say this to my servant David: 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: I took you from the pasture where you followed sheep so that you could be the leader of my people Israel. ⁹ I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. I will make you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.

¹⁹ And yet this [is] little in Your eyes, Sovereign LORD, and You do speak also concerning the house of Your servant afar off; and this [is] the law of the Man, Sovereign LORD.

¹¹ "'When your days are over and you go to be with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you. It will be one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. ¹² "'He is the one who will build a house for me. I will establish his throne forever. ¹³ "'I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor. ¹⁴ "'I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever! His throne will be established forever.'" ¹⁵ Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation.

²⁷ Now it has pleased you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, LORD, have blessed, and it is blessed forever."

³ But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

⁵ You made him a little lower than the angels, You have crowned him with glory and honor;

⁶ Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

¹ A Psalm by David. the LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.

⁵ And now the LORD says, who formed me from the womb as a servant for him, to bring Jacob back to him, and that Israel might not be gathered, for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD, and my God has become my strength. ⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth. ⁷ Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to the one who is despised, to the abhorred of the nation, the servant of rulers: "Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of the LORD who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you."

¹ Who is this, coming from Edom, from Bozrah in bright red garments? Who is this honored in his garment, lying down in his great strength? "It is I, speaking in justice, mighty to save!"

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

³¹ When he was gone, Jesus said: Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify the Son in Himself—and will glorify Him at once.

¹ After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you.

⁵ And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.

²² "I have given them the glory that you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one.

²⁰ which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, ²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. ²² And he subordinated all things under his feet, and appointed him head over all things for the church,

⁹ Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹ The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

²² who has gone to heaven and is at God's right hand, with angels, hierarchies, and powers made subject to him.

⁸ And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb; each one had a harp, and they had golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹ They sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered. With your blood you purchased people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation. ¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth." ¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels about the throne, and about the beasts and the elders, and I heard thousand thousands, ¹² In a loud voice they said: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” ¹³ And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever.”

² "I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you. I will make your name great. You will be a blessing.

⁶ Many say, “Who will show us any good?” Yahweh, let the light of your face shine on us. ⁷ You have put gladness in my heart more than when their grain and their wine abound.

¹¹ You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me with joy with Your countenance: at Your right hand there are delights forever.

⁴ Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy and I will praise you upon the harp, O God, my God.

⁷ You love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you from among your companions with festive oil.

² So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory. ³ Because your loyal love is better than life, my lips will praise you. ⁴ Thus will I bless thee while I live: and in thy name I will lift up my hands. ⁵ My soul will be satisfied as with the best and richest food, and with joyful lips my mouth will praise.

¹⁷ His name endures forever, his name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in him, all nations will call him blessed. ¹⁸ Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. ¹⁹ Blessed be to his glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!

¹⁰ But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: ¹¹ Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord!

³⁰ For my eyes have seen your salvation ³¹ which You have prepared in the sight of all people, ³² a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel."

²⁸ You have made known to me the paths of life, You will fill me with joy in Your presence.’

²⁶ When God raised up His servant, He sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”

⁹ So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

¹⁴ He redeemed us so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

⁸ When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel. ⁹ For the LORD's portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

⁶ David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because they were grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

² I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

⁵ But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation.

⁸ I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

² the LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

⁷ Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. ⁸ They will sink to their knees and fall, but we will rise and stand firm.

¹ Davidic. Vindicate me, LORD, because I have walked in integrity; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

⁴ I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah.

⁶ You will add to the days of the king's life; his years will be for many generations. ⁷ May he live forever in the presence of God. Appoint loyal love and faithfulness to preserve him.

² I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."

⁹ For thou, O the LORD, my trust; thou didst set the Most High thy refuge. ¹⁰ No harm will befall you, and no plague will come near your tent.

¹⁴ And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

⁴³ He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'"

¹³ And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again, "Here am I, and the children God has given me."

²⁹ And though men have risen up to pursue you and to seek your soul, yet the soul of my lord will be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD your God. And the souls of your enemies, them he will sling out as from the hollow of a sling.

³ The battle went badly against Saul, the archers overtook him and wounded him badly.

¹ When the king lived in his house, and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies all around,

⁹ "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!"

¹ For the music director. Of David, the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: "I love you, O LORD, my strength."

⁹ The dwellers in the desert shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust.

²² No enemy will tax him, no wicked man will oppress him. ²³ I will crush his enemies before him and strike those who hate him.

¹ A Psalm by David. the LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. ² the LORD will send out your mighty scepter from Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies.

¹⁰ As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images excelled those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,

² Though they dig into Sheol, from there my hand will take them and though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down. ³ Though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out there; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them.

¹⁴ But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We do not want this man to rule over us.’

²⁷ But those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.'"

²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁸ Anyone who rejected the Law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ²⁹ How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

¹⁵ And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

²⁸ He looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah and all the land in the Plain. He saw smoke rising from the land like the thick smoke of a furnace.

²² For a fire has been kindled in My anger, and it burns to the lowest Sheol, and consumes the earth and its produce; and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.

³ "It would surely outweigh the sand of the seas, no wonder my words have been impetuous.

⁵ Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his rage (fury). He says:

¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed (happy) are all who take refuge (put trust) in him.

⁸ Smoke went up from his nostrils. A raging fire came out of his mouth. Glowing coals were kindled by it.

³ Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him.

¹ Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me. ² My enemies trample all day, because many are attacking me proudly.

¹⁷ the earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; and covered the company of Abiram.

¹¹ O LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame. Let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.

² The Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob without pity. He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah. He has brought them down to the ground. He has profaned the kingdom and its princes.

²⁰ He commanded the mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to throw them into the blazing furnace. ²¹ So these men were bound in their coats, hosen, shoes with their other garments, and cast into the hot burning oven. ²² Then, because the king's command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

⁶ His indignation—who can stand before it? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; rocks are shattered before him.

¹ "For look! The day is about to come, burning like an oven, and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble. The coming day will consume them," says the LORD of hosts. "It will not leave behind for them root or branch.

¹⁰ The ax lies ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

¹² His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire."

⁴² And they will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁷ The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

⁴¹ Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

⁴⁶ And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

¹⁶ By hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved, thus always filling up their sins to the limit: but wrath has come upon them at last.

⁸ Taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ They told the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, ¹⁷ for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

¹⁴ And death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.

³⁴ This was the sin of the house of Jeroboam. It brought about its ruin and total destruction from the face of the earth.

¹⁶ "His roots dry up below and his branches wither above. ¹⁷ "The memory of him perishes from the earth. He has no name in the street. ¹⁸ "He is driven from light into darkness and is banished from the world. ¹⁹ "He has no offspring or descendants among his people, no survivor where once he lived.

²⁸ "A flood will carry off his house. Rushing waters will wash away his possessions on the day of God's wrath.

²⁸ For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake his faithful ones. They are protected forever. But the children of the wicked will be cut off.

¹³ Let his descendants be cut off. Let their name be blotted out in the next generation.

²⁰ You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land. You have killed your people. The offspring of evildoers will not be mentioned forever.

¹ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain?

² In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.

¹³ I have heard the slander of many; it is like terror all around me, as they conspire together and plot to take my life.

²⁰ For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

⁴ “Come,” they say, “let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

⁶ "'"Let us invade Judah. Let us tear it apart and divide it among us. Let us make the son of Tabeel king over Judah." ⁷ "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "It will not take place! It will not happen!

⁹ Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered! ¹⁰ ⌊Make a plan⌋, but it will be frustrated! Speak a word, but it will not stand, for God is with us!

¹⁸ the LORD revealed their plot to me so that I would understand. He showed me what they were doing. ¹⁹ But I was like a docile lamb being brought to the slaughter. And I did not know that they had plotted evils against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, so that his name may be remembered no more.

² And He said to me, Son of man, these are the men who plot evil and give wicked advice in this city;

⁸ He also sent them to Bethlehem, telling them, "Go and make a careful search for the child, and when you have found him report to me, so that I may go and worship him too."

¹⁶ When Herod saw that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was filled with rage. Sending orders, he put to death all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, according to the time he had learned from the Magi.

⁴⁶ So they wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the people, because they regarded him as a prophet.

⁴ and they plotted to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him. ⁵ “But not during the feast,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”

⁶³ “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while He was alive that deceiver said ‘After three days I will rise again.’ ⁶⁴ So give the order that the tomb be secured until the third day. Otherwise, His disciples may come and steal Him away and tell the people He has risen from the dead. And this last deception would be worse than the first.”

² And there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and went and rolled the stone back and sat upon it. ³ His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. ⁴ and from fear of him the keepers shook and became like dead men. ⁵ The angel said to the women, "Do not you be afraid. For I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! Come, see the place where He lay.

¹⁷ But to keep this message from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.” ¹⁸ Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

²⁷ Having brought and them they stood in the sanhedrim. And asked them the high-priest, ²⁸ “We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us responsible for this man’s blood.”

²⁰ »Have I sinned? What have I done to you, O watcher of all humanity? Why have you made me your target? Am I a burden to you?

¹² »I was at ease, but he shattered me. He has grabbed me by the neck and has shaken me to pieces. He has also set me up as his target. ¹³ "His arrows surround me. Without mercy he splits my kidneys open. He pours out my gall on the ground.

¹² If a man doesn't relent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow. ¹³ He has also prepared for himself deadly weapons. He makes ready his flaming arrows.

³ When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before you.

¹⁴ He sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he multiplied lightnings, and routed them.

⁴⁰ You made my enemies turn their backs to me. I destroyed those who hated me.

¹⁰ You make us retreat from the enemy. Those who hate us rob us at will.

⁹ Then my enemies will turn back when I call. This I know because God is for me.

⁷ But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.

¹² With his bow bent, he made me the target for his arrows.

¹¹ Yours, O Lord, is the strength and the power and the glory, and the authority and the honour: for everything in heaven and on earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are lifted up as head over all.

¹⁹ If it is a matter of strength, look, he is mighty. But if it is a matter of justice, who can summon me?

⁴⁶ the LORD lives! Blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,

¹⁰ "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth."

⁵ Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be above all the earth.

¹¹ Be exalted, O God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. ¹¹ A person will say, "Certainly, the righteous are rewarded; certainly there is a God who judges the earth."

⁵ Who is like the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high,

¹⁰ Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’

¹⁷ saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.

³ and they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the ages! ⁴ Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

⁵ Then I heard the angel in charge of the water say, "You are just. You are the one who is and who was, the Holy One, because you have judged these things. ⁶ for they shed the blood of your people and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink, as they deserve." ⁷ And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and just are your judgments."

²⁰ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets; for God has judged her for what she did to you.

¹ After this I heard a sound like the roar of a great multitude in heaven, shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! ² for true and just are his judgments. He has judged the great prostitute who was corrupting the earth with her lewdness and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants." ³ And again they shouted, "Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever." ⁴ The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures bowed down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They said, "Amen! Hallelujah!" ⁵ And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great." ⁶ Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
