¹ LORD, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who shall live on your holy hill? 2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; ³ he who doesn't slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man; ⁴ in whose eyes a vile man is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; he who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and doesn't change; ⁵ He does not lend his money at interest, and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

¹ Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; ² But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. ³ He is like a tree planted by streams of water. It yields its fruit in season and its leaves do not wither. Whatever he does prospers. ⁴ This is not so for the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill."

⁴ I cry to LORD with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

³ You go before him with wonderful blessings, and put a crown of fine gold on his head. ⁴ He asked life from you; you gave it to him— length of days forever and ever. ⁵ By thy salvation his glory is great. Thou wilt confer on him honour and majesty.

⁶ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

³ Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? ⁴ He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. ⁵ He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Savior.

⁴ One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple ⁵ Because in the day of trouble he will hide me in his shelter. He will hide me in the covering of his tabernacle He will lift me up upon a rock. ⁶ Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies, even those who surround me. I will sacrifice in his tent with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melodies to the LORD.

³ Send forth your light and your truth so they may guide me. Let them bring me to your holy mountain and to your dwelling places. ⁴ Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy and I will praise you upon the harp, O God, my God.

⁴ I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah.

⁴ Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are ever praising you. Selah.

¹ Of the sons of Korah. A psalm. A song. His foundation is on the holy mountains. ² the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. ³ Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah.

¹³ Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.

³ Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” ⁴ "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus replied; "Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" ⁵ Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

³ And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, so that you may be where I am.

²⁴ Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, which you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

²² But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the joyful assembly

¹⁴ I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. ¹⁶ Never again will they hunger, never again will they thirst, never shall the sun strike them, nor any scorching heat;" ¹⁷ For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

¹ Then I looked, and there was the lamb, standing on Mount Zion! With him were 144,000 people who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. ⁴ He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.”

²³ The city does not need the sun nor the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God lighted it, and the Lamb is its lamp. ²⁴ The nations will walk by its light; the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

⁴ He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

¹² What man soever desireth life and loveth to see good days: ¹³ Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies.

¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

⁷ He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, ⁸ guarding the paths of the just and protecting the way of his faithful ones.

¹⁸ Whoever walks blamelessly is kept safe; but one with perverse ways will fall suddenly.

¹⁵ He who walks righteously and speaks what is right, who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes, who stops his ears against plots of murder and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil.

⁸ He said: They are my people, sons who will not lie to me. So he became their Savior.

⁷ Shall it be said, O house of Jacob: "Is the Spirit of the LORD angry? Are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?"

¹⁶ These are the things that ye do: Speak ye truth each with his neighbour, Truth and peaceful judgment judge in your gates, ¹⁷ Do not devise evil in your hearts against your neighbor, and do not love a false oath, because all these are things I hate," declares the LORD.

⁶ They were both upright in the sight of God, blamelessly observing all the Lord's commands and requirements.

³⁵ but welcomes those from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.

¹⁰ but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, first for the Jew, then for the Greek.

¹⁴ When I saw that they were not walking in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “If you, who are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?

¹⁰ For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

²⁵ Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

⁹ Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices,

³³ who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and obtained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions,

⁶ Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked.

²⁹ If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one who does right has been born of him.

⁷ Dear children, let no one lead you astray. The man who acts righteously is righteous, just as He is righteous.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”

¹⁴ Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. ¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

¹ "Do not spread false rumors. Do not help a guilty person by offering false testimony. ² "Do not follow the majority to do wrong. Do not give testimony that perverts justice. ³ You shall not show partiality to a poor man in his lawsuit. ⁴ "If you come across your enemy's ox or donkey wandering off, you shall certainly return it to him. ⁵ If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, do not leave him, you shall surely help him with it. ⁶ "You shall not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits. ⁷ Stay far away from a false charge, and don't kill the innocent or the righteous, because I won't acquit the guilty. ⁸ You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous. ⁹ And you will not oppress an alien; you yourselves know the feelings of the alien, because you were aliens in the land of Egypt. ¹⁰ For six years put seed into your fields and get in the increase; ¹¹ but you shall let it rest the seventh year, leaving it unplanted. The poor of your people may eat from it, and the wild animals may eat what they leave. You shall do the same with your vineyards and olive groves. ¹² " 'Six days you will do your work, but on the seventh day you will stop so that your ox and your donkey will rest and the son of your slave woman and the alien will be refreshed. ¹³ "Be careful to do all things that I have said to you; and do not invoke the name of other gods, neither let them be heard out of your mouth. ¹⁴ "Three times a year you shall celebrate a festival for me. ¹⁵ You will keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you will eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you at the appointed time, the month of Abib, because in it you came out from Egypt, and no one will appear before me empty-handed. ¹⁶ Also the Feast of Harvest, the first fruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. Also the Feast of Ingathering, at the end of the year, at your gathering your work from the field. ¹⁷ Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Sovereign LORD. ¹⁸ "Do not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread. Do not allow the fat of my feast to remain overnight until morning. ¹⁹ "You shall bring the best of the first fruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. "You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk." ²⁰ "Look, I'm sending an angel in front of you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place I've prepared. ²¹ Be attentive to him and listen to his voice; do not rebel against him, because he will not forgive your transgression, for my name is in him. ²² But if you listen attentively to his voice and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes. ²³ "My messenger will go ahead of you. I will lead you to the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites. I will wipe them out. ²⁴ "Do not worship or serve their gods or follow their practices. You must destroy their gods and crush their sacred stones. ²⁵ "You must serve the LORD your God! I will bless your food and water. I will take away all sickness from among you. ²⁶ No one will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will fulfil the number of your days. ²⁷ I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. ²⁸ I'll send hornets ahead of you and they'll drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you. ²⁹ I shall not drive them out from before you in one year lest the land should become desolate, and the field animal be many against you. ³⁰ Little by little I will drive them out from before you until you are fruitful and take possession of the land. ³¹ And I will stretch your bounds from the Red Sea even to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river. For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you. ³² You shall not make a covenant with them or with their gods. ³³ "Do not allow them to live in your land for they will make you sin against me. If you serve their gods it will be a snare to you."

¹⁶ You shall not go about with slander among your people; you shall not endanger your neighbor's life; I am the LORD.

¹¹ »My master, look at this! The border of your robe is in my hand! I cut off the border of your robe and did not kill you. You should know and be able to see I mean no harm or rebellion. I have not sinned against you! But you are trying to ambush me in order to take my life.

⁵ Whoso slandereth his neighbour in secret, him will I destroy; whoso is haughty of eye and proud of heart, him will I not suffer. ⁶ My eyes will be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will minister to me. ⁷ He who practices deceit won't dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood won't be established before my eyes. ⁸ Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land: to cut off all workers of iniquity from the city of the LORD.

¹⁰ Drive out the mocker, and strife will go out; yes, quarrels and insults will stop.

³ As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.

² "Blessed is the man who does this, the man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

⁴ Everyone beware of his neighbor, and do not trust any brother! For every brother will supplant his neighbor, and will walk with slanders. ⁵ Friends deceive each other, and will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They weary themselves commiting iniquity. ⁶ "You live in the middle of deceit. Through deceit they refuse to know me," says the LORD. ⁷ Therefore so says the LORD Almighty, Behold, I will melt them and try them; for what else can I do for the daughter of My people? ⁸ "Their tongue is a deadly arrow. It speaks deceit! With the mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor, but inwardly he sets an ambush for him." ⁹ Should I not punish them for these things?," asks the LORD, "and should I not avenge myself on a nation like this?"

¹² In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.

³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful. They invent new forms of evil; they disobey their parents.

¹⁷ Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Carefully consider what is right in the eyes of everybody.

¹⁰ Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

² to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable and gentle, and to show true humility toward all men.

¹¹ Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the Law and judges it. And if you judge the Law, you are not a practitioner of the Law, but a judge of it.

¹ Therefore, ridding yourselves of all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, ² Like newborn infants, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,

¹¹ Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The person who does what is good is from God. The person who does what is evil has never seen God.

¹⁸ But the Israelites did not attack them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the LORD the God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against their leaders. ¹⁹ But all the leaders of the congregation said, "We have sworn to them by the LORD the God of Israel, and so we cannot touch them. ²⁰ This we will do to them: we will let them live so that wrath will not be on us because of the oath we swore to them."

³⁵ When he saw her he tore his clothes and said, Alas my daughter! You have made me very sad and troubled, for I have made a vow to the LORD and I can't go back on it.

¹ There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the face of the LORD. the LORD said, “It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put the Gibeonites to death.” ² So the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. Now the Gibeonites were not from the Israelites; they were from the remainder of the Amorites. Now the Israelites had sworn to them, but Saul tried to wipe them out in his zeal for the Israelites and Judah.

¹³ And Elisha said to the king of Israel, What do I have to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother. And the king of Israel said to him, No, for the LORD has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab. ¹⁴ Elisha said, "As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I respect the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.

² All the king's servants who were in the king's gate bowed down, and paid homage to Haman; for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai did not bow down or pay him homage.

²¹ "I will not show partiality to any person or use flattery toward anyone. ²² For I know not how to flatter; my Maker would soon take me away.

³ As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.

⁴ A perverse heart will be far from me. I will have nothing to do with evil.

⁶ My eyes will be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will minister to me.

⁶³ I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts.

⁵ The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected. ⁶ For the fool speaks foolishness, and his heart works iniquity, to do ungodliness; and to speak error against the LORD, to make the hungry soul empty; and he causes the drink of the thirsty to fail.

¹⁷ Then Daniel answered before the king, Let your gifts be to yourself, and give your rewards to another; nevertheless I will read the writing to the king, and tell him the interpretation. ¹⁸ O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honor. ¹⁹ Because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. He killed whom he wanted to, and he kept alive whom he wanted to. He raised up whom he wanted to, and he put down whom he wanted to. ²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: ²¹ He was driven away from human society and given the mind of an animal. He lived with wild donkeys, ate grass like cattle, and his body was soaked with dew from the sky until he realized that the Most High God is sovereign over human kingdoms and places over them whomever he desires. ²² And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this. ²³ You've exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. You've had the vessels from his temple brought into your presence. And you, your officials, and your wives and mistresses drank wine from them. You praised gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which can't see, hear, or demonstrate knowledge. But you didn't honor God, who holds in his power your very life and all your ways. ²⁴ Therefore, the hand that wrote this inscription was sent from his presence. ²⁵ And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. ²⁶ This is the interpretation of it: MENE; God has numbered your kingdom, and brought it to an end; ²⁷ Tekel; it has been weighed in the balance, and found wanting. ²⁸ Peres; your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. ²⁹ Then Belshazzar gave orders to clothe Daniel in purple, to place a chain of gold around his neck, and to proclaimed him the third highest ruler of the kingdom. ³⁰ In that night Belshazzar king of the Chaldeans is slain, ³¹ and Darius the Mede took over the kingdom at the age of 62.

³³ Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’

⁴⁹ Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers. ⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

² When Paul had been called in, Tertullus opened the prosecution: “Because of you, we have enjoyed a lasting peace, and your foresight has brought improvements to this nation. ³ In every way and everywhere, most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with all gratitude.

²⁵ And as he reasoned about righteousness, self control and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid, and answered: Go away for now. When I have a convenient time I will call for you.

¹⁰ They honored us in many ways; and when we were ready to sail, they furnished us with the supplies we needed.

¹ My brothers, as you hold out your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, do not show favoritism. ² Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. ³ If you give special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Please take this seat," but you say to the poor man, "Stand over there" or "Sit on the floor at my feet," ⁴ have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? ⁵ Listen, my dearly loved brothers; did not God choose those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be wealthy in faith and to inherit the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? ⁶ But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you? Is it not they who drag you into court? ⁷ Are they not the ones who blaspheme the noble Name by which you have been called? ⁸ If you really keep the royal law stated in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. ⁹ But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.

²⁵ "When you lend money to any of my people who are poor, do not act like a moneylender and require him to pay interest.

⁷ Stay far away from a false charge, and don't kill the innocent or the righteous, because I won't acquit the guilty. ⁸ You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous.

³⁵ " 'And if your countryman becomes poor and if he becomes dependent on you, then you shall support him like an alien and like a temporary resident, and he shall live with you. ³⁶ Take no interest from him or profit; but fear your God, that your brother may live among you. ³⁷ You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.

¹⁹ You shall not pervert justice. You shall not show partiality. You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.

¹⁹ "Do not charge interest to your brothers, interest on money, food, anything that may be loaned at interest. ²⁰ You may charge a foreigner interest; but you shall not your brother interest, that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

² Yes, they who say, We, our sons and our daughters, are many; and we take crop to eat and live. ³ Others were saying, "We're having to mortgage our fields, our vineyards, and our homes so we can buy grain during this famine." ⁴ And others there were that said, We have borrowed money for the king’s tax on our fields and vineyards. ⁵ Now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our sons are like their sons. Look, we are subduing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and there are some from our daughters being molested. We are powerless, and our fields and vineyards belong to others."

⁷ I thought over this in my heart, and then I quarreled with the nobles and the prefects. I said to them, "You yourselves are taking interest from your own brother!" So I called the great assembly against them, ⁸ And I said to them, We after our ability have redeemed our brothers the Jews, which were sold to the heathen; and will you even sell your brothers? or shall they be sold to us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer. ⁹ So I said, "What you're doing isn't right! Shouldn't you live in the fear of our God to avoid shame from our foreign enemies? ¹⁰ Also, I and my brothers and my servants are lending them money and grain. Please stop taking this interest. ¹¹ So today please restore to them their fields, vineyards, olive orchards, and homes, along with the one percent interest charge that you've assessed them on the grain, wine, and oil." ¹² So they said, "We will restore it and will not request anything more. So we will do as you say." Then I called the priests and made them take an oath to do this promise. ¹³ Shaking out the folds of my robe, I said: "So, may God send out from his house and his work every man who does not keep this agreement. Even so let him be sent out and made as nothing." All the people said: "Amen!" They praised the LORD. The people did as they said.

⁸ I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

²² Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

³ Blessed are those who observe justice, he who does righteousness at all times.

⁶ For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever.

³ A person doesn't gain security by wickedness, but the righteous won't be uprooted.

⁸ he lendeth nothing upon usury; he taketh nothing over; he withdraweth his hand from doing wrong; he handleth faithfully betwixt man and man;

¹⁷ '"He keeps his hand from the poor and does not take interest or increase, but executes my ordinances, and walks in my statutes. He will not die for his father's iniquity. He will surely live.

²⁷ Again, when a wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed and does what is lawful and right, he will save his soul alive.

¹² They take a bribe among you in order to shed blood; and you take usury, and you make gain from your neighbors by extortion, and so you have forgotten me, declares the Sovereign LORD.

³ Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe; and the powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together.

²¹ "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. ²² Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ ²³ Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you evildoers!'" ²⁴ "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. ²⁵ The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.

¹⁵ and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I hand Him over to you?” And they set out for him thirty pieces of silver.

³ When Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was filled with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders. ⁴ "I have sinned," he said, "in betraying innocent blood!" "What is that to us?" they answered; "you must see to that." ⁵ So Judas threw the silver into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

¹⁷ If you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

²² Obey the message; do not merely listen to it, and deceive yourselves. ²³ For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, ²⁴ and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. ²⁵ But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does.

¹⁰ Therefore, brethren, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall; ¹¹ and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
