⁵ Then he said to Korah and all his followers: "In the morning the LORD will show who belongs to him, who is holy. He will have that person come near him. Only the person the LORD chooses will be allowed to come near him.

¹ the LORD continued: "Bring your brother Aaron and his sons Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar to you from all the Israelites. They will serve me as priests.

⁴³ They shall be on Aaron and his sons when they enter the Tent of Meeting or when they approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place so they don't incur guilt and die. This shall be a perpetual ordinance for him and his descendants after him."

² “Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread;

³ Therefore Moses said to Aaron, "This is what the LORD spoke, saying, 'Among those who are close to me I will show myself holy, and in the presence of all the people I will display my glory.'" So Aaron was silent.

⁶ They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God; for they offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the food of their God; therefore they shall be holy. ⁷ "'They shall take no wife that is an whore, or polluted, or put from her husband: for a priest is holy unto his God. ⁸ »Be holy because you offer the food of your God. Be holy because I, the LORD, am holy. I set you apart as holy.

¹² "He must not leave the holy tent of his God. If he does, he will be dishonoring it, because he is dedicated with the anointing oil of his God. I am the LORD. ¹³ "The anointed priest should marry a virgin. ¹⁴ "He must not marry a widow, a divorced woman, a woman who has lost her virginity, or a prostitute. He may only marry a virgin from his own people. ¹⁵ He shall not profane his offspring among his people: for I am the LORD who sanctifies him.'"

³ They came together to confront Moses and Aaron. They said: "You have gone far enough! Everyone in the whole congregation is holy. the LORD is among them. Why do you set yourselves above the LORD's assembly?"

⁵ "The staff from the man I choose will begin to grow. In this way I will silence the frequent complaints the Israelites make against you and Aaron."

²⁸ And I chose him from all the tribes of Israel to be a priest to me, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, and to bear an ephod before me. I gave to the house of your ancestor all the offerings made by fire by the Israelites.

⁴ Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, that he may dwell in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

²⁶ He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

⁵ Strangers will stand and feed your flocks. Foreigners will work your fields and your vineyards. ⁶ But you will be named the priests of the LORD. Men will call you the ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of the nations and in their glory you will boast yourselves.

⁴⁶ and that apartment facing the north is for the priests who have the charge of the altar, namely the sons of Sadduk, the only Levites who come near to the Lord to minister to him.

¹⁵ But the Levitical priests, the descendants of Zadok, who cared for the responsibility of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, they will approach me to serve me, and they will stand before me to offer to me fat and blood," declares the Sovereign LORD. ¹⁶ "'They will enter my sanctuary and come near my table to minister to me and keep my charge.

¹⁸ When you return, you will see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not."

¹⁶ It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you, and I appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that should remain, so that the Father might grant you whatever you ask in my Name.

³ Endure hardship with me as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ⁴ No one serving in the military gets mixed up in civilian matters, for his aim is to please his commanding officer.

¹⁹ Nevertheless, God's firm foundation stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body, ²¹ and since we have a great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

¹⁴ Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

⁵ you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ For it stands in Scripture: “See, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and precious cornerstone; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” ⁷ To you who believe, then, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” ⁸ and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall;" they stumble because they disobey the wordas they were desstined to do. ⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

⁶ and has made us a kingdom and priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

⁹ They sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered. With your blood you purchased people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation. ¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth."
