Nehemiah 9:27 Cross References - VIN

²⁷ So you delivered them into the control of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed, they cried out to you, and you heard from heaven. In your great compassion you gave them deliverers who rescued them from the control of their enemies.

²⁹ But if from there you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. ³⁰ "When you are in trouble (distress) and all these things happen to you in the latter days, turn to the LORD your God and obey his voice. ³¹ For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

¹⁶ And the Lord said to Moses, Now you are going to rest with your fathers; and this people will be false to me, uniting themselves to the strange gods of the land where they are going; they will be turned away from me and will not keep the agreement I have made with them. ¹⁷ Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day and I will forsake them and I will hide my face from them and they will be devoured and many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us? ¹⁸ But I will certainly hide my face on that day, because of all of the evil that they did because they turned to other gods.

¹⁴ Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies. ¹⁵ Wherever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for harm, as the LORD had spoken, and as the LORD had sworn to them: and they were in great distress. ¹⁶ And the LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.

¹⁸ When the LORD established judges he supported each judge. He delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days the judge lived. He had compassion for them as they groaned under those who oppressed and afflicted them.

⁸ And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Cushan-Rishathaim, the king of Aram Naharaim; and the Israelites served Cushan-Rishathaim eight years. ⁹ And when the sons of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the sons of Israel, Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, who saved them. ¹⁰ And the spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel. He went out to war, and the LORD gave Cushan-Rishathaim king of Aram into his hand, and he prevailed over Cushan-Rishathaim. ¹¹ And the land had rest forty years,—and Othniel son of Kenaz, died. ¹² The people of Israel sinned against the LORD again. Because of this the LORD made King Eglon of Moab stronger than Israel. ¹³ He gathered to himself the Ammonites and Amalekites, and he went and defeated Israel, and they took possession of the city of palms. ¹⁴ The Israelites served Eglon king of Moab for eighteen years. ¹⁵ And the Israelites cried out to the LORD, and the LORD raised up for them a deliverer, Ehud son of Gera, a Benjaminite and a left-handed man. And the Israelites sent a tribute to Eglon king of Moab through him. ¹⁶ Ehud made himself a double-edged sword about a foot and a half long. He fastened it on his right side under his clothes. ¹⁷ He offered the tribute to Eglon king of Moab. Now Eglon was a very fat man. ¹⁸ As he finished presenting the tribute, Ehud sent away the people who had been carrying it. ¹⁹ but he himself turned back from the idols that were by Gilgal and said, I have a secret errand to you, king. The king said, Keep silence! All his attendants left him. ²⁰ Ehud approached him while he was sitting by himself in the cool roof chamber of his palace. He said, "I have a message from God for you!" So when Eglon got up from his seat, ²¹ With his left hand Ehud took the sword from his right side and plunged it into the king's belly. ²² And the handle also went in after the blade; and the fat closed on the blade, for he didnʼt draw the sword out of his belly; and it came out behind. ²³ Then Ehud went out onto the porch, and shut the doors of the upper room on him, and locked them. ²⁴ After he had gone, his servants came and saw that the doors of the upper room were locked. They said, “Surely he is covering his feet in the upper room.” ²⁵ And they waited so long they became embarrassed because he did not open the doors of the upper room. So they took the key and opened the doors, and there their lord was lying on the ground dead. ²⁶ Ehud escaped while they waited and passed beyond the idols and escaped to Seirah. ²⁷ When he had arrived, he blew a trumpet in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went down with him from the hill country, and he went before them. ²⁸ And he said to them, "Follow after me! the LORD has given Moab your enemies into your hand." So they went down after him, and they captured the fords of the Jordan toward Moab; and they did not allow anyone to cross over. ²⁹ And at that time they smite about ten thousand men of Moab - all fat - all men of valour; and not a man escapes. ³⁰ So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel: and the land had rest eighty years.

⁶ Because Israel was deeply impoverished due to the Midianites, they cried out to the LORD. ⁷ When the Israelites cried to the LORD because of Midian ⁸ the LORD sent a prophet to them, and he said to them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'I brought you up from Egypt and brought you out of slavery, ⁹ I delivered you from the hand of Egypt and from the hand of all your oppressors, and drove them out from before you; and I gave you their land. ¹⁰ And I said to you, I am the LORD your God. Do not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live. But you have not obeyed My voice.

¹⁵ But the people of Israel said to the LORD: "We have sinned. Do to us what seems best to you, only please, save us today!" ¹⁶ When they put away their foreign gods and served the LORD, he brought Israel's misery to an end.

¹⁰ So they cried out to the LORD and said, 'We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD and have served the Baals and the Ashtoreths. But now deliver us from the hand of our enemies and we will serve you!' ¹¹ Then the LORD sent Jerubbaal, Barak, Jephthah, and Samuel and he delivered you from the hand of your enemies on every side, so that you lived securely.

⁵ the LORD gave Israel a savior, and they went out from under the hand of Aram. So the Israelites lived in their tents as formerly.

²⁷ And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

¹⁷ And he brought up [against] them the king of the Chaldees, and slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and spared not young man nor maiden, old man nor him of hoary head: he gave [them] all into his hand.

⁴¹ He handed them over to other nations, and those who hated them ruled them. ⁴² Their enemies oppressed them and made them subject to their power. ⁴³ Many times He delivered them, but they rebelled in their counsel and sank in their iniquities. ⁴⁴ Yet he looked upon their distress when he heard their cry. ⁴⁵ he remembered his covenant and according to the multitude of his mercies;

¹⁰ and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God by walking in his laws that he gave us through his servants the prophets. ¹¹ "And all Israel transgressed your law and turned aside so as not to listen to your voice, and so the curse and the oath which was written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, has been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against him. ¹² He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our rulers who ruled us, by bringing on us a great calamity; for under the whole heaven such has not been done as has been done on Jerusalem. ¹³ As it's written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has befallen us, but we still haven't sought the LORD our God by turning from our lawlessness to pay attention to your truth. ¹⁴ So the LORD watched for the right time to bring the calamity upon us, because the LORD our God is righteous regarding everything he does, but we have not obeyed his voice.

²¹ Saviors will go up on Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom will be the LORD's.
