¹ In the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, to fulfil the word of the LORD from the mouth of Jeremiah, the LORD aroused the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia, and he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, moreover also in writing, saying: ² "Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. ³ Whosoever now among you is of his people, the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel. He is the God that is at Jerusalem. ⁴ And whoever remains in any place where he sojournes, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem. ⁵ Then the heads of fathers of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred, rose up to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem. ⁶ And all of their neighbors helped them with objects of silver, gold, possessions, domestic animals, and with valuable gifts—besides all of the freewill offering. ⁷ Also king Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought away out of Jerusalem, and had placed in the house of his god: ⁸ And Cyrus king of Persia brought them forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah. ⁹ Here is a partial inventory: Gold dishes: 30 Silver dishes: 1,000 Sacrificial knives: 29 ¹⁰ There were also 30 gold bowls, 410 matching silver bowls and 1,000 other articles. ¹¹ All the articles of gold and silver numbered 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought all of them along with the exiles who traveled from Babylon to Jerusalem.

²² In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia. He sent a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also put it in writing. He said: ²³ Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: »the LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, may the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up!«

¹³ However, in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon, king Cyrus gave an order to build this house of God. ¹⁴ Also, the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took away from the temple in Jerusalem and brought to the temple in Babylonia, King Cyrus removed them from the temple in Babylonia and they were given to Sheshbazzar, whom he appointed governor. ¹⁵ And he said to him, Take these vessels and go. Deposit them in the temple in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be built on its place.

²² They joyfully kept the feast of unleavened bread for seven days. the LORD filled them with joy by turning the heart of the king of Assyria to them to give them help in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

²⁷ Blessed be the LORD, the God of our fathers, who has put this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD in Jerusalem.

⁴⁶ He also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.

¹ The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD as streams of water. He turns it wherever he will.

¹² And it shall be, when seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, and the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, says the LORD; and I will make it everlasting ruins. ¹³ And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have spoken against it, with all that is written in this book, prophesied by Jeremiah against all the Gentiles. ¹⁴ For they have served them, whereas they were many nations, and great kings: and I will repay them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their hands.

¹⁰ "This is what the LORD says: 'When Babylon's seventy years are over I will come to you. I will keep my promise to you and bring you back to this place.

⁷ "I will restore Judah and Israel and rebuild them as they were before. ⁸ I'll cleanse them from all their sin that they have committed against me, and I'll forgive all their sins that they committed against me and by which they rebelled against me. ⁹ "Jerusalem will be my source of joy, praise, and honor. All the nations on earth will hear about all the blessings that I will give to Jerusalem. They will be afraid and tremble because of all the prosperity that I will provide for it.'" ¹⁰ "This is what the LORD says: 'You are saying about this place, "It is a ruin without people and without animals." Yet in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem which are desolate places without inhabitants and without animals, there will again be heard ¹¹ "Yes, you will hear the sounds of joy and happiness and the sounds of brides and grooms. You will hear those who bring thank offerings to the LORD's Temple."' "'They will say: Give thanks to the LORD Almighty because the LORD is good, because his mercy endures forever. I will restore the prosperity of the land to what they were before,"' says the LORD. ¹² "This is what the LORD of the Heavenly Armies says: 'In this place that is now a ruin without people or animals, and in all its towns there will again be pasture for shepherds resting their flocks. ¹³ In the towns of the hill country, in the towns of the Shephelah, in the towns of the Negev, in the territory of Benjamin, in the areas around Jerusalem, and in the towns of Judah flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who counts them,' says the LORD."

¹ In the second year of his reign Nebuchadnezzar dreamed a dream, and his spirit was amazed, and his sleep departed from him.

¹ In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea ² and saying, "Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is near." ³ This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’”

²³ John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet: “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”

²⁷ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain you. How much less this house that I have built!

¹² »Praise the LORD the God of Israel, Creator of heaven and earth! He has given King David a wise son, full of understanding and skill. He now plans to build a Temple for the LORD and a palace for himself.

²⁶ That fulfilleth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith of Jerusalem, It shall be inhabited; and of the cities of Judah, They shall be built, and their ruins will I raise up.

¹² I myself made the earth, and I created humankind upon it. I, my hands, stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host. ¹³ I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways straight. He shall build my city, and he shall let my exiles go free, not for price nor reward,” says the LORD of Armies.

¹ the LORD says, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?

¹¹ Tell this to them: "The gods who didn't make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from these heavens."

⁶ "Now I have handed all these countries over to my servant King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I have even made wild animals serve him. ⁷ And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings shall enslave him.

²¹ "He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to the discerning.

²⁸ But there is a God in Heaven who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed are these.

³⁷ You, O king, are a king of kings: for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. ³⁸ »He gave the children of men, the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens to your hand. He made you the ruler over them all! You are the head of gold.

²⁵ You will be driven from men. Your dwelling will be with the beasts of the field. You will eat grass like oxen and will be wet with the dew of heaven. Seven times shall pass over you until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.

³² You're to be driven away from people. You're to live with the wild animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass like cattle, and seven years will pass you by until you realize that the Most High is sovereign over human kingdoms and grants them to whomever he desires.'

¹⁹ Because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. He killed whom he wanted to, and he kept alive whom he wanted to. He raised up whom he wanted to, and he put down whom he wanted to. ²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: ²¹ He was driven away from human society and given the mind of an animal. He lived with wild donkeys, ate grass like cattle, and his body was soaked with dew from the sky until he realized that the Most High God is sovereign over human kingdoms and places over them whomever he desires.

²³ You've exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. You've had the vessels from his temple brought into your presence. And you, your officials, and your wives and mistresses drank wine from them. You praised gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which can't see, hear, or demonstrate knowledge. But you didn't honor God, who holds in his power your very life and all your ways.

³¹ For their rock isn't like our Rock, as even our enemies admit.

⁹ Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

²⁰ David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don't be afraid, nor be dismayed; for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.

¹⁸ And let them know Your name is the LORD, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

⁵ I am the LORD, and there is no other. Besides me, there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not known me;

¹⁰ But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king. Because of his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his anger.

⁴⁷ The king answered Daniel and said, "Truly your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings, and he reveals mysteries, for you are able to reveal this mystery."

²⁶ "I hereby decree that in every area of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, who endures forever. His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed, and his dominion continues forever.

²⁰ and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

³⁶ As to the message which he sent to the children of Israel telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ — who is Lord of all —

³ And moreover, in my affection for the house of my God I have given of my own property of gold and silver, for the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary:

⁹ Then the people rejoiced, for they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

¹⁷ And I know, my God, that You try the heart and are pleased with uprightness; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have offered willingly all these things; and now I have watched with joy Your people who are present here offering willingly to You.

⁶⁸ When they arrived at the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem, some of the heads of the families contributed toward building the temple of God on its former site. ⁶⁹ According to their fortune they gave to the treasury of the work:gold--61,000 darics, silver--5,000 minas, and tunics for priests--100. ⁷⁰ As a result, the priests, Levites, certain people, the singers, door-keepers, and the temple Servants were able to settle in their original cities, with the rest of the Israelites in their cities.

¹⁶ together with all of the silver and gold that you can raise in the province of Babylon, plus the freewill offerings given by the people and the priests, contributed for the temple of their God, which is in Jerusalem. ¹⁷ »Use this money to buy bulls, sheep, and lambs, with their meal offerings and their drink offerings, to be offered on the altar of the house of your God, which is in Jerusalem. ¹⁸ And if it seem good to thee, and to thy brethren to do any thing with the rest of the silver and gold, do it according to the will of your God.

⁹ Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their work. ¹⁰ For if one falls, his companion may help him up. But pity the one who falls and there is no one to help him up.

¹⁷ After several years, then, I returned to Jerusalem to bring alms to my people and to present offerings.

² Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the Law of Christ.

⁶ They have testified to the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. ⁷ because it was for the sake of the Name that they went out, accepting nothing from pagans. ⁸ We therefore ought to welcome such, so that we may work together for the Truth.

¹² I got up during the night, I and a few men with me. I did not tell anybody what my God put in my heart to do for Jerusalem. No animal was with me except the animal that I was riding on.

¹ To mortals belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the answer of the tongue.

¹⁶ But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you.

¹³ For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good pleasure.

¹⁶ Do not be deceived, my dear brothers. ¹⁷ Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.

¹¹ Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The person who does what is good is from God. The person who does what is evil has never seen God.

⁴ And whoever remains in any place where he sojournes, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

¹⁵ Also, bring the silver and gold that the king and his advisors have freely offered to the God of Israel whose dwelling is in Jerusalem, ¹⁶ together with all of the silver and gold that you can raise in the province of Babylon, plus the freewill offerings given by the people and the priests, contributed for the temple of their God, which is in Jerusalem.

²⁵ And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the articles, even the offering for the house of our God, which the king, and his counselors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered: ²⁶ I divided among them 650 silver talents, silver utensils weighing 100 talents, 7,500 gold talents, ²⁷ Also twenty bowls of gold, worth a thousand darics; and two vessels of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold. ²⁸ I said to them, "You are holy to the LORD, and the vessels are holy; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.

³³ On the fourth day, the silver, gold, and vessels were weighed in the house of our God into the hand of priest Meremoth, the son of Uriah, and with him Eleazar son of Phinehas. With them were the Levites, Jehozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.

³ Your people will volunteer in the day of your power. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, you will have the dew of your youth.

⁷ Each one should give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or from compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

¹³ He carried out there all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in the LORD's temple, as the LORD had said.

¹³ The Chaldeans broke up the pillars of bronze that were in the house of the LORD and the bases and the bronze sea that were in the house of the LORD, and carried the bronze pieces to Babylon. ¹⁴ They took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they ministered. ¹⁵ The captain of the guard took all of the incense burners and bowls that were made of gold or silver. ¹⁶ The bronze from the two pillars, the pool, and the stands that Solomon made for the LORD’s Temple could not be weighed.

⁷ Nebuchadnezzar also took articles from the LORD's temple to Babylon and placed them in his temple in Babylon.

¹⁰ In the spring King Nebuchadnezzar sent for Jehoiakin and brought him to Babylon with the valuable utensils from the LORD's Temple. Nebuchadnezzar made Jehoiakin's uncle Zedekiah king of Judah and Jerusalem.

¹⁸ He brought to Babylon each of the utensils from God's temple, the treasures from the LORD's Temple, and the treasures of the king and his officials.

¹⁴ Also, the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took away from the temple in Jerusalem and brought to the temple in Babylonia, King Cyrus removed them from the temple in Babylonia and they were given to Sheshbazzar, whom he appointed governor.

⁵ Also, let the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple in Jerusalem and brought to Babylonia, be returned and brought to the temple in Jerusalem to its place. Put them in the house of God."

²¹ For thus says the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem: ²² "They will be carried to Babylon and they will be there until the day I visit them," declares the LORD. "Then I will bring them back and restore them to this place."’"

³ and within two years I'll bring back to this place all the vessels of the LORD's temple that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took from this place and carried to Babylon. ⁴ I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon,' says the LORD; 'for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.'” ⁵ Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, before the priests and all the people who had come into the house of the Lord, ⁶ even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen. May the LORD do so. May the LORD confirm your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is exiled from Babylon into this place.

² And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

² Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines, might drink in them. ³ Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God in Jerusalem. And the king, and his rulers, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.

¹¹ All the articles of gold and silver numbered 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought all of them along with the exiles who traveled from Babylon to Jerusalem.

¹⁶ Then this Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundation of the house of God in Jerusalem. And from that time until now it is being built, but not yet finished.'

¹ In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day, the word of the LORD came through Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

¹⁴ And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and did the work on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

² "Speak now to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying, ³ 'Who among you is left that saw this house in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it seem like nothing to you? ⁴ Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,' says the LORD. 'Be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' says the LORD, 'and work, for I am with you,' says the LORD of hosts.

⁶ Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts. ⁷ 'Who are you O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground, and he will bring out the top stone amid the shouts of "Grace, grace to it!" '" ⁸ Then the word of the LORD came to me again: ⁹ "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands will also finish it! You should know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you. ¹⁰ For whoever has despised the day of small things will rejoice and will see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel." These seven are the eyes of the LORD which are ranging throughout the whole earth.

¹³ His offering was one plate of silver—its weight was one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;

¹⁹ He presented as his offering one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking wine weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering. ²⁰ One dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ²¹ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ²² one male goat for a sin offering; ²³ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Nethanel, son of Zuar. ²⁴ On the third day, Eliab son of Helon, leader of the Zebulunites brought an offering. ²⁵ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking wine weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ²⁶ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ²⁷ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ²⁸ one male goat for a sin offering; ²⁹ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Eliab, son of Helon. ³⁰ The fourth day, Elizur, the son of Shedeur, chief lord among the children of Reuben, brought his offering. ³¹ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ³² one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ³³ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ³⁴ one male goat for a sin offering; ³⁵ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Elizur, son of Shedeur. ³⁶ On the fifth day Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai, leader of the children of Simeon, did offer: ³⁷ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ³⁸ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ³⁹ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁴⁰ one male goat for a sin offering; ⁴¹ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai. ⁴² On the sixth day Eliasaph the son of Deuel, leader of the children of Gad, offered: ⁴³ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ⁴⁴ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ⁴⁵ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁴⁶ one male goat for a sin offering; ⁴⁷ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Eliasaph, son of Deuel. ⁴⁸ On the seventh day Elishama the son of ‘Ammihud, the prince of the children of Ephraim, did offer: ⁴⁹ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ⁵⁰ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ⁵¹ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁵² one male goat for a sin offering; ⁵³ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Elishama, son of Ammihud. ⁵⁴ On the eighth day Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur, ruler of the sons of Manasseh, offered: ⁵⁵ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ⁵⁶ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ⁵⁷ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁵⁸ one male goat for a sin offering; ⁵⁹ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur. ⁶⁰ On the ninth day Abidan the son of Gidoni, the prince of the children of Benjamin, did offer: ⁶¹ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ⁶² one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ⁶³ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁶⁴ one male goat for a sin offering; ⁶⁵ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Abidan, son of Gideoni. ⁶⁶ On the tenth day Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai, leader of the descendants of Dan: ⁶⁷ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ⁶⁸ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ⁶⁹ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁷⁰ one male goat for a sin offering; ⁷¹ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Ahiezer, son of Amishaddai. ⁷² On the eleventh day Pagiel the son of Ocran, ruler of the sons of Asher, offered: ⁷³ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ⁷⁴ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ⁷⁵ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁷⁶ one male goat for a sin offering; ⁷⁷ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Pagiel, son of Ochran. ⁷⁸ On the twelfth day Ahira the son of Enan, ruler of the sons of Naphtali, offered: ⁷⁹ his offering was one silver plate—its weight one hundred and thirty shekels—and one silver bowl for drinking weighing seventy shekels according to the sanctuary shekel, both of them filled with finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering; ⁸⁰ one golden dish weighing ten shekels filled with incense; ⁸¹ one young bull, one ram, one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁸² one male goat for a sin offering; ⁸³ and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five one-year-old male lambs as a fellowship offering. These were the gifts from Ahira, son of Enan. ⁸⁴ These were the gifts from the leaders of Israel for the dedication of the altar when it was anointed: twelve silver plates, twelve silver bowls, and twelve gold dishes. ⁸⁵ Each silver dish weighed a hundred and thirty shekels, each basin seventy. All the silver vessels weighed two thousand and four hundred shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel; ⁸⁶ twelve golden pans, full of incense, ten shekels each, according to the sanctuary shekel; all the gold of the pans was a hundred and twenty shekels. ⁸⁷ The total number of animals for the burnt offerings was twelve young bulls, twelve rams, twelve one-year-old male lambs, along with their grain offerings. Twelve male goats were used as offerings for sin. ⁸⁸ The total number of animals for fellowship offerings was twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty male goats, and sixty one-year-old male lambs. These were the gifts for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed. ⁸⁹ When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard his voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two cherubim: and he spoke to him.

⁵⁰ And the bowls, and the wick trimmers, and the basins, and the ladles, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner room, the most holy place, and for the doors of the main hall of the temple.

⁸ And he made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the south and five on the north. And he made a hundred drinking bowls of gold.

¹¹ And Hiram made pots, shovels and basins. And Hiram finished the work he made for king Solomon unto the temple of God:

²¹ and the blossoms, the lamps, and the tongs that were of solid gold; ²² the gold trimming instruments, basins, pans, censers, and the gold door sockets for the inner sanctuary (that is, the most holy place), and for the doors to the main hall of the temple.

¹⁴ And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, of which were made articles for the house of the LORD, even articles for ministering, and for offering, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.

²⁷ Also twenty bowls of gold, worth a thousand darics; and two vessels of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold.

²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. ³⁰ And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. ³¹ So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

¹⁹ Nevertheless, God's firm foundation stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness." ²⁰ In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay; some for noble purposes, and some for ignoble. ²¹ If anyone cleanses himself from what is ignoble, he will be a vessel for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
