²⁹ As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the house of Simon and Andrew.

¹⁴ When Jesus went into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed, sick with a fever. ¹⁵ He touched her hand, the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on Him.

³⁸ Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon, whose mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever. They appealed to Jesus on her behalf, ³⁹ He bent over her, rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began serving them.

⁵⁸ Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.”
