¹ On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel. ² and said unto Aaron, "Take a calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering: both without blemish, and bring them before the LORD." ³ "Tell the Israelites: 'Take a male goat as an offering for sin, a calf and a lamb, each one-year-old and without defects, as a burnt offering, ⁴ and an ox and a ram as fellowship offerings to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil, because today the LORD will appear to you." ⁵ They brought what Moses commanded before the Tent of Meeting. All the congregation came near and stood before the LORD. ⁶ Then Moses said, "This is the word that the LORD commanded you to do so that the glory of the LORD might appear to you." ⁷ Moses said to Aaron, "Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD commanded." ⁸ Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as his own offering for sin. ⁹ And the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him. And he dipped his finger into the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar. And the blood he poured upon the base of the altar. ¹⁰ On the altar he burned the fat, kidneys, and lobe of the liver from the offering for sin as the LORD commanded Moses. ¹¹ The flesh and the hide one burned with fire outside the camp. ¹² Then he slaughtered the burnt offering, and Aaron's sons brought the blood to him, and he sprinkled it on the altar all around; ¹³ They delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burned them upon the altar. ¹⁴ He washed the inward parts and the legs, and burned them on the burnt offering on the altar. ¹⁵ And then he brought the people's offering and took the goat that was the people's sin offering, and slew it and offered it for a sin offering: as he did the first. ¹⁶ And then brought the burnt offering and offered it as the manner was, ¹⁷ He also brought the grain offering. He took a handful of grain and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering. ¹⁸ He slaughtered the bull and the ram for the people's fellowship offering. Aaron's sons gave him the blood. He threw it against the altar on all sides. ¹⁹ And as for the fat portions from the ox and from the ram (the fat tail and the layer of fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver), ²⁰ And they put the fat on the breasts, and he burned the fat on the altar. ²¹ Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh for a wave offering before Yahweh, as Moses commanded. ²² Then Aaron lifted his hand toward the people, and he blessed them, and he came down after sacrificing the sin offering and the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings. ²³ Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people. ²⁴ Fire came out from before the LORD, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

³³ You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you seven days.

¹⁰ "And on the eighth day he must take two male lambs without defect and one ewe-lamb in its first year without defect and three-tenths of an ephah of finely milled flour mixed with oil as a grain offering and one log of oil.

²³ "On the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before the LORD.

¹⁴ "'On the eighth day he shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and give them to the priest:

²⁹ On the eighth day she shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting.

¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, to the priest, at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

²⁶ Seven days they will make atonement for the altar and purify it. So they will consecrate it. ²⁷ "'When those days are over, on the eighth day, the priests must sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings on the altar. Then I will accept them,' declares the Sovereign LORD."

¹ After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.

¹ "This is what you shall do to them to consecrate them to serve me as priests: Take a young bull, two rams without blemish,

³ "If it is the High Priest who sins and brings guilt on the people, he should present a young bull without any defects and sacrifice it to the LORD for his sin.

¹⁴ Moses brought the young bull for the sin offering. Aaron and his sons put their hands on its head.

¹⁸ He presented the ram of the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

⁷ Moses said to Aaron, "Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD commanded." ⁸ Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as his own offering for sin.

²¹ God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

³ Because of this he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.

²⁷ Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people; He sacrificed for sin once for all when He offered up Himself.

¹⁰ And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ¹² But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, "he sat down at the right hand of God." ¹³ from that time waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool. ¹⁴ Because by one offering he has made complete for ever those who are made holy.

⁵ Your lamb is to be a year old male without blemish. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.

²³ when his sin is showed unto him which he hath sinned, he shall bring for his offering a he goat without blemish,

⁶ "'When the days of her purification are completed, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the door of the Tent of Meeting, a year old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering:

⁵ And he shall take of the multitude of the children of Israel two goats for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

¹⁵ Then let him put to death the goat of the sin-offering for the people, and take its blood inside the veil and do with it as he did with the blood of the ox, shaking drops of it on and before the cover of the ark.

¹² and the day you wave the omer work an integrious he lamb - a yearling son for a holocaust to Yah Veh:

¹⁷ They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

¹⁹ They gave their hand that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their guilt.

¹⁰ It was the LORD's will to allow him to be crushed. Even though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.

³ For what the Law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh,

¹⁴ who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, zealous for good deeds.

²⁶ Otherwise, He would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself. ²⁷ Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment, ²⁸ so the Messiah was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people. And he will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly wait for him.

²⁴ He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body, but made alive in the spirit,

⁹ They sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered. With your blood you purchased people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation.

¹⁰ While Aaron was speaking to all the congregation of the Israelites, they turned toward the desert, and there the glory of the LORD was seen in the cloud.

¹¹ and be ready for the third day, for on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

¹⁶ The glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. Then on the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud.

⁴³ "And I will meet with the Israelites there, and it will be consecrated by my glory.

³⁴ Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. ³⁵ Moses was not able to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

¹ "'When anyone offers a grain offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it. ² He shall bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests; and he shall take his handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn its memorial on the altar, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ³ The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and to his sons—it is a most holy thing from the offerings made by fire for the LORD. ⁴ "'If your grain offering has been baked in an oven, it must be rings of unleavened bread made of flour mixed with olive oil or wafers of unleavened bread brushed with oil. ⁵ "'If your grain offering is prepared in a frying pan, it, too, will be unleavened bread made of flour mixed with oil. ⁶ break it into pieces and pour out oil on it; it is a grain offering. ⁷ "'When your grain offering is prepared in a skillet, it will be made of flour with oil. ⁸ And you are to give the meal offering made of these things to the Lord, and let the priest take it to the altar. ⁹ The priest shall take from the meal offering its memorial, and shall burn it on the altar, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ¹⁰ And the remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and to his sons—it is a most holy thing from the offerings made by fire for the LORD. ¹¹ "'Every grain offering you bring to the LORD must be made without yeast. Do not use yeast or honey in food offered to the LORD. ¹² »‘Bring them to the LORD as an offering of first fruits. Do not offer them on the altar as a soothing aroma. ¹³ "'Season every grain offering with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offering. All of your offerings must have salt. ¹⁴ And if you give a meal offering of first-fruits to the Lord, give, as your offering of first-fruits, new grain, made dry with fire, crushed new grain. ¹⁵ "'Put oil and incense on it. It is a grain offering. ¹⁶ And the priest shall burn as the memorial portion, part of the beaten grain, and part of the oil, with all the frankincense: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

¹ "'If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings; if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD. ² And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and slaughter it at the entrance of the tent of meeting; and Aaron`s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood on the altar round about. <sup>3</sup> And they shall offer of the peace offering, to be a sacrifice unto the LORD: the fat that covereth the inwards and all the fat that is upon the inwards; <sup>4</sup> and the two kidneys with the fat that lieth upon the loins; and the caul that is on the liver, they shall take away with the kidneys. <sup>5</sup> Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. <sup>6</sup> " 'But if his offering for a sacrifice of fellowship offering for the LORD is from the flock, he must bring a male or a female without defect. <sup>7</sup> If he offer a lamb, he shall bring it before the LORD, <sup>8</sup> and shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and slaughter it before the tent of meeting; and Aaron`s sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about. ⁹ "'Take the fat from the fellowship offering and offer it by fire to the LORD. Remove all the fat from the tail and the fat that covers the internal organs. ¹⁰ and the two kidneys with the suet on them and on the loin and the lobe of the liver with the kidneys ¹¹ "'The priest must burn the offering on the altar. It is food, an offering by fire to the LORD. ¹² "'If his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD: ¹³ He shall lay his hand on its head, and kill it before the Tent of Meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar. ¹⁴ And he shall offer of it a burnt-offering to the Lord, even the fat that covers the belly, and all the fat that is on the belly. ¹⁵ "'Also the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he will remove with the kidneys. ¹⁶ The priest shall burn them on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma; all the fat is the LORD's. ¹⁷ This is a lasting statute for your generations in all your dwellings: you must not eat any fat or any blood.'"

¹⁴ " 'And this is the regulation of the grain offering. Aaron's sons shall present it before the LORD in front of the altar, ¹⁵ The priest is to take in his hand some of the meal of the meal offering and of the oil of it, and all the perfume on it, burning it on the altar as a sign, for a sweet smell to the Lord. ¹⁶ And Aaron and his sons shall eat that which is left of it: it shall be eaten without leaven in a holy place, they shall eat it in the court of the tabernacle of witness. ¹⁷ "'It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their share from my offerings by fire. It is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering. ¹⁸ Every male among Aaron's sons may eat it as a lasting rule among your generations from the offerings made by fire ⌊belonging to⌋ the LORD. Anything that touches them will become holy.'" ¹⁹ And the Lord said to Moses, ²⁰ "This is the offering Aaron and his sons are to present to the LORD on the day when he is anointed: a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening. ²¹ "Prepare it with oil on a griddle. Stir it well and bring it. Present the grain offering in baked pieces as a soothing aroma to the LORD. ²² And the priest of his sons, who is anointed in his stead, shall offer it. It is a statute forever to the LORD. It shall be wholly burnt. ²³ Every grain offering of a priest shall be wholly burned. It shall not be eaten'.

⁶ Then Moses said, "This is the word that the LORD commanded you to do so that the glory of the LORD might appear to you."

²³ Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.

¹⁰ But the whole congregation desired to stone them to death. Suddenly, the glory of the LORD appeared at the tent of meeting, to all the Israelites.

³ you will make an offering by fire for Yahweh from the cattle or from the flock, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a vow, or as a freewill offering or at your feasts, to make a fragrance of appeasement for Yahweh. ⁴ then he who offers his offering shall offer to the LORD a meal offering of one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one fourth of a hin of oil. ⁵ "With each sheep or goat for the burnt offering or any other sacrifice, also give an offering of one quart of wine. ⁶ “'For a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil; ⁷ and an offering of one and one quarter quarts of wine. Offer them as a soothing aroma to the LORD. ⁸ When you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a vow or a fellowship offering for the LORD, ⁹ then he shall offer with the bull a meal offering of three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil;

¹⁹ Korah assembled all his followers who opposed Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the tent of meeting. The glory of the LORD appeared to the entire group.

¹⁰ When the priests went out from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the LORD. ¹¹ and the priests could not stand to do their service because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD. ¹² Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick cloud.

² I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the sound of rushing water, and the earth was shining because of his glory.

¹⁷ And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

¹² "Assemble the people, the men and the women and children and the alien who is in your town. Assemble them that they may hear and learn and respect the LORD your God, and be careful to observe all the words of this Law.

³ David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD to its place, which he had prepared for it.

² Then Solomon assembled the respected leaders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the Israelite families. They came to Jerusalem to take the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD from the City of David, which is Zion. ³ And all the men of Israel came together to the king at the feast in the seventh month.

¹ And all the people gathered as one man into the plaza before the Water Gate. And they spoke to Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.

¹³ the trumpeters and singers praised and thanked the LORD in unison. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other musical instruments, they sang in praise to the LORD: "He is good; his mercy (lovingkindness) endures forever." Then the LORD’s Temple was filled with a cloud. ¹⁴ and the priests could not stand to do their service because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

¹⁶ "Then the anointed priest will bring some of the bull's blood into the Tent of Meeting. ¹⁷ and shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD: even before the veil. ¹⁸ He shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the Tent of Meeting; and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting. ¹⁹ "He will remove all the fat and burn it on the altar. ²⁰ Thus he will do with the bullock, as he did with the bullock of the sin offering, so he will do with this. And the priest will make atonement for them and they will be forgiven.

³⁴ What has been done today, so Yahweh has commanded to do, to make atonement for you.

² and said unto Aaron, "Take a calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering: both without blemish, and bring them before the LORD."

¹⁴ Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli, that the guilt of Eli's house shall not be removed with sacrifice nor offering forever.

¹ Every high priest is appointed from among men to represent them in matters relating to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.

²⁷ Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people; He sacrificed for sin once for all when He offered up Himself. ²⁸ For the Law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the Law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

⁷ But only the high priest entered the inner room, and then only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.

⁴ " 'He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering and it will be accepted for him in order to make atonement for him. ⁵ He must slaughter the young bull before the LORD, then Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the blood and sprinkle the blood all around the altar that is at the door of the tent of assembly.

¹ And the Lord said to Moses, ² to tell the people of Israel: "If a person sins unintentionally and does not keep the LORD's commandments he would have to observe the following rules: ³ "If it is the High Priest who sins and brings guilt on the people, he should present a young bull without any defects and sacrifice it to the LORD for his sin. ⁴ And he shall bring the bullock to the entrance of the tent of meeting before the LORD; and shall lay his hand on the bullock`s head, and slaughter the bullock before the LORD. ⁵ The anointed priest shall take some of the bull's blood and shall bring it to the tent of assembly, ⁶ And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, in front of the veil of the sanctuary. ⁷ The priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before the LORD, which is in the tent of assembly, and all the rest of the bull's blood he must pour out on the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the entrance of the tent of assembly. ⁸ " 'He must remove all the fat from the bull of the sin offering: the fat that covers the inner parts and all of the fat that is on the inner parts, ⁹ and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys ¹⁰ as it is removed from the bull of the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering. ¹¹ "But the hide of the bull and all its flesh with its head and its legs and its entrails and its refuse, ¹² —all the rest of the bull—outside of the camp to a clean place where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire. It shall be burned where the ashes are poured out.

²⁹ and lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it in the place of burnt offerings.

⁶ And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, in front of the veil of the sanctuary. ⁷ The priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before the LORD, which is in the tent of assembly, and all the rest of the bull's blood he must pour out on the base of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the entrance of the tent of assembly.

¹⁷ and shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD: even before the veil. ¹⁸ He shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the Tent of Meeting; and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

²⁵ The priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering. He shall pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering.

³⁰ And the priest shall take some of the blood with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar.

¹⁵ He killed it; and Moses took the blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar, and sanctified it, to make atonement for it.

¹² Then he slaughtered the burnt offering, and Aaron's sons brought the blood to him, and he sprinkled it on the altar all around;

¹⁸ He slaughtered the bull and the ram for the people's fellowship offering. Aaron's sons gave him the blood. He threw it against the altar on all sides.

¹⁸ "He shall go out to the altar that is before the LORD and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the bull's blood, and some of the goat's blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar.

¹⁰ In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering.

²² In fact, under the law almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of the blood there is no forgiveness. ²³ It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

⁴ because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. ⁵ Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; ⁶ with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased. ⁷ Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll: I have come to do Your will, O God.’” ⁸ First He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them” (which are offered according to the Law), ⁹ Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second. ¹⁰ And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ¹² But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, "he sat down at the right hand of God." ¹³ from that time waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool. ¹⁴ Because by one offering he has made complete for ever those who are made holy. ¹⁵ The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says: ¹⁶ “This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord. I will put My Laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.” ¹⁷ Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” ¹⁸ But where there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sin. ¹⁹ Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,

³ And they shall offer of the peace offering, to be a sacrifice unto the LORD: the fat that covereth the inwards and all the fat that is upon the inwards; ⁴ and the two kidneys with the fat that lieth upon the loins; and the caul that is on the liver, they shall take away with the kidneys. ⁵ Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

⁹ "'Take the fat from the fellowship offering and offer it by fire to the LORD. ³⁴ And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar: ³⁵ He shall remove all its fat, like the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar, on the offerings of the LORD made by fire. The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned, and he will be forgiven.

¹⁶ He took all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat; and Moses burned it on the altar. ¹⁷ But the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

²⁶ My son, give me your heart; and let your eyes keep in my ways.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty one who resides forever, and whose name is holy: "I reside in a high and holy place, and with the contrite and humble of spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

² And my hand has made all these things, and all these came to be," declares the LORD, "but I look to this one: to the humble and the contrite of spirit and the one frightened at my word.

²¹ He shall carry the bull outside the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering for the assembly.

¹⁷ But the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁷ "The bull and the goat used for the sin offering, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to take away sin, will be carried outside the camp and burned. Skin, meat, and intestines must all be burned. ²⁸ And he who burns them will wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water and afterward he will come into the camp.

¹¹ Although the high priest brings the blood of animals into the Holy Place as a sacrifice for sin, the bodies are burned outside the camp. ¹² And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to sanctify the people through his own blood.

¹ the LORD called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying, ² »Tell the Israelites: ‘When you bring an offering to the LORD, bring your offering of animals from the herd or the flock. ³ “'If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without defect. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD. ⁴ " 'He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering and it will be accepted for him in order to make atonement for him. ⁵ He must slaughter the young bull before the LORD, then Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the blood and sprinkle the blood all around the altar that is at the door of the tent of assembly. ⁶ He shall skin the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces. ⁷ The sons of Aaron the priest will put fire on the altar and arrange the wood on the fire. ⁸ Then Aaron's sons, the priests, will arrange the pieces of meat, the head, and the suet on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar. ⁹ but he shall wash its innards and its legs with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD. ¹⁰ And if the offering be of the flocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish. ¹¹ He must slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD; then Aaron's sons, the priests, will sprinkle its blood all around the altar. ¹² then they shall cut it in quarters and the priests shall lay these with the head and the suet on the wood which is on the fire on the altar; ¹³ But he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it on the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD. ¹⁴ "'If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons. ¹⁵ The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar; ¹⁶ He must remove its crop with its plumage and throw it to the east beside the altar on the place of the fatty ashes. ¹⁷ He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

¹⁸ He presented the ram of the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. ¹⁹ and Moses slew the ram, and poured the blood against the altar round about. ²⁰ and cut the ram in pieces and burnt the head, the pieces and the fat, ²¹ He washed the inward parts and the legs with water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

² and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her ²⁶ to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, ²⁷ and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.

²¹ He washed the inward parts and the legs with water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁷ "When a common person unintentionally does something wrong, even one thing forbidden by the LORD's commandments, he will be guilty. ²⁸ And shall come to know his sin: he shall offer a she goat without blemish. ²⁹ and lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it in the place of burnt offerings. ³⁰ And the priest shall take some of the blood with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar. ³¹ He must remove all of its fat just as the fat was removed from the fellowship offerings' sacrifice, and the priest shall turn it into smoke on the altar as an appeasing fragrance for the LORD. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.

³ "Tell the Israelites: 'Take a male goat as an offering for sin, a calf and a lamb, each one-year-old and without defects, as a burnt offering,

¹ The Lord also said to Moses: ² »Instruct the Israelites to present to God at the appointed time the required food offerings that are pleasing to him. ³ Say to them, This is the offering made by fire which you are to give to the Lord; he-lambs of the first year without any mark, two every day as a regular burned offering. ⁴ Let one be offered in the morning, and the other at evening; ⁵ each with a grain offering of two pounds of flour, mixed with two pints of the best olive oil. ⁶ It is the regular ascent offering instituted at Mount Sinai for a fragrant odor, a fire offering, to the LORD. ⁷ and its drink offering, a fourth of a hin for the one lamb; pour a drink offering of strong drink to the LORD in the sanctuary. ⁸ "‘Offer the second lamb in the evening in the same way as the morning offering, together with its wine offering. It also is a food offering, an odor pleasing to the LORD. ⁹ “'On the Sabbath day, you shall offer two male lambs a year old without defect, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, and its drink offering: ¹⁰ This is the burned offering for every Sabbath day, in addition to the regular burned offering, and its drink offering. ¹¹ “‘In the beginnings of your months, you shall offer a burnt offering to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect, ¹² "'With each bull there will be a grain offering of twenty-four cups of flour mixed with olive oil, with each ram a grain offering of sixteen cups of flour mixed with olive oil. ¹³ "'With each one-year-old lamb a grain offering of eight cups of flour mixed with olive oil. This is a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD. ¹⁴ And their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine to a bull, and the third of a hin to a ram, and a fourth a hin to a lamb. This is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. ¹⁵ "'In addition to the daily burnt offering with its wine offering, one male goat must be offered to the LORD as an offering for sin. ¹⁶ And the fourteenth day of the first month shall be Passover unto the LORD. ¹⁷ On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a feast; for seven days let your food be unleavened cakes. ¹⁸ In the first day shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work, ¹⁹ but you shall offer an offering made by fire, a burnt offering to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. They shall be without defect, ²⁰ And their gift fine flour mingled with oil: three tenths for a bullock, and two tenths for the ram, ye shall do. ²¹ and eight cups for each of the seven lambs. ²² and one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you. ²³ "‘Offer these in addition to the morning burnt offering. ²⁴ In this way, every day for seven days, give the food of the offering made by fire, a sweet smell to the Lord: it is to be offered in addition to the regular burned offering, and its drink offering. ²⁵ "'On the seventh day you must have a holy assembly. You must not do any regular work. ²⁶ " 'And on the day of firstfruits, when you are presenting a new offering for the LORD during your Festival of Weeks, you will have a holy convocation; you will not do any regular work. ²⁷ "‘Offer a burnt offering as an odor pleasing to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old male lambs, all without any defects. ²⁸ And their grain offerings of flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah unto one bullock, two-tenths of an ephah unto one ram, ²⁹ a tenth deal with each of the seven lambs;

¹⁷ So He had to be made like His brothers in every way, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people.

¹ The Law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. ² If it could, would not the offerings have ceased? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all and would no longer feel the guilt of their sins. ³ Instead, those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, ⁴ because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. ⁵ Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; ⁶ with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased. ⁷ Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll: I have come to do Your will, O God.’” ⁸ First He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them” (which are offered according to the Law), ⁹ Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second. ¹⁰ And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ¹² But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, "he sat down at the right hand of God." ¹³ from that time waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool. ¹⁴ Because by one offering he has made complete for ever those who are made holy. ¹⁵ The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says: ¹⁶ “This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord. I will put My Laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.” ¹⁷ Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” ¹⁸ But where there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sin. ¹⁹ Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body, ²¹ and since we have a great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

³⁸ "This is what you shall offer on the altar continually: two one year old lambs each day. ³⁹ "You shall offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight, ⁴⁰ and with the one lamb a tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil, and the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering. ⁴¹ "You will offer the other lamb at twilight. Offer it with the same grain offering and the same drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD. ⁴² It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you.

¹ "'When anyone offers a grain offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it. ² He shall bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests; and he shall take his handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn its memorial on the altar, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

⁵ Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.

¹ On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.

⁵³ Then Jesus said to them, I tell you most truly, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

¹¹ "'These are the instructions for the fellowship offering that you must bring to the LORD. ¹² If he offer to give thanks, he shall bring unto his thank offering: sweet cakes mingled with oil and sweet wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil of fine flour fried, ¹³ He shall offer his offering with the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving with cakes of leavened bread. ¹⁴ "'He will present one of every offering as a contribution to the LORD. It will belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. ¹⁵ The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of his offering. He shall not leave any of it until the morning. ¹⁶ "'If the sacrifice of his offering is a votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice as well as on the next day. ¹⁷ And what is left of the flesh of the sacrifice till the third day shall be burned with fire. ¹⁸ If any of the meat of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted, and it shall not be credited to him who offers it. It will be an abomination, and the soul who eats any of it will bear his iniquity.

¹ Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁰ For if, when we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!

¹⁴ For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, ¹⁵ by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace ¹⁶ and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which he put to death their enmity. ¹⁷ He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

²⁰ and through him, to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

⁹ "'Take the fat from the fellowship offering and offer it by fire to the LORD. Remove all the fat from the tail and the fat that covers the internal organs.

¹⁶ The priest shall burn them on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma; all the fat is the LORD's.

¹⁰ On the altar he burned the fat, kidneys, and lobe of the liver from the offering for sin as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁹ "Tell the Israelites: 'Anyone who offers the LORD a fellowship offering must bring a part of that sacrifice as a gift to the LORD. ³⁰ With his own hands he shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire. He shall bring the fat with the breast, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD. ³¹ The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'. ³² "'You will also give the priest the right thigh as a contribution. ³³ "'When any of Aaron's sons offer the blood and fat of the fellowship offering, the right thigh will belong to him as his share. ³⁴ for I have taken from the sons of Israel of their sacrifices of peace the breast that is waved and the shoulder that is set apart and have given them unto Aaron, the priest, and unto his sons by a perpetual statute among the sons of Israel.

²⁴ "Put all this food in the hands of Aaron and his sons and have them dedicate it to me as a special gift.

²⁶ "You shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's ordination, and present it as a wave offering before the LORD, and it shall be your portion. ²⁷ You shall consecrate the portion of the ram of ordination that belongs to Aaron and his sons: the breast of the wave offering that was waved and the thigh of the presented offering that was presented. ²⁸ And it will be for Aaron and for his sons as a lasting rule from the Israelites, because it is a contribution, and it will be a contribution from the Israelites from their sacrifices of fellowship, their contribution to the LORD.

²⁴ "'The fat from an animal that dies naturally or is killed by wild animals you may use for any other purpose. However, you must not eat it.

²⁶ And in any of your dwellings, you must not eat any blood belonging to birds or domestic animals.

³ He said to me: "You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will show my glory."

¹³ Suddenly a multitude of the Heavenly Army appeared with the angel, praising God by saying,

¹¹ If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High. ¹⁹ And he blessed him and said, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Maker of heaven and earth. ²⁰ And blessed be God Most High who delivered your enemies into your hand." And he gave to him a tenth of everything.

²³ "Tell Aaron and his sons: 'This is how you will bless the Israelites. Say to them: ²⁴ The LORD bless you, and keep you: ²⁵ the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. ²⁶ the LORD lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.’ ²⁷ And they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."

⁸ At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.

⁵ "Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near. the LORD your God has chosen them to serve him and to bless in the name of the LORD. They will settle every dispute and every assault.

⁵⁵ He stood, and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

¹³ The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron was set apart, he and his descendants from generation to generation, to consecrate the most holy things, to offer sacrifices before the LORD, to minister before him and to pronounce blessings in his name as long as they live.

³ Then the king turned around and blessed the entire assembly from Israel while they were standing.

¹⁷ His name endures forever, his name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in him, all nations will call him blessed.

¹⁶ And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.

⁵⁰ When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

²⁶ When God raised up His servant, He sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”

¹⁴ May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

⁶ But Melchizedek, who did not trace his descent from Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. ⁷ And without dispute the lesser person is blessed by the greater.

⁹ Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

⁴² Then, when the community had gathered against Moses and Aaron, they turned to the tent of assembly, and behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

²¹ Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering why he took so long in the temple. ²² When he came out and was unable to speak to them, they realized he had seen a vision in the temple. He kept making signs to them but remained speechless.

²⁴ For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. ²⁵ Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.

³ As time went by, Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. ⁴ But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn (firstlings) of his flock. the LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering.

¹⁷ The sun went down and it was dark. A smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces.

³ Abram fell on his face and God said to him:

² There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire coming from the middle of a bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire but that it was not burning up.

¹³ Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.

⁵ Then Moses and Aaron went down on their faces before the meeting of the people.

²² And they fell on their faces, and said, O God, God of the spirits of all flesh; shall one man sin, and will You be angry with all the congregation?

²¹ Then the angel of the LORD reached out the tip of the staff that was in his hand, and he touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went up from the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. And the angel of the LORD went from his sight.

¹⁹ So Manoah took the young goat with the meal offering, and offered it on the rock to the LORD. Then the angel did an amazing thing as Manoah and his wife watched. ²⁰ And when the flame ascended above the altar, up towards heaven, the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame. When Manoe and his wife saw this, they fell flat with their face to the ground.

²³ But his wife said to him, If the LORD wanted to kill us He wouldn't have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from us, neither would He have shown us all these things, nor would He have told us such things as these.

³⁸ And the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the burnt sacrifice and the wood, and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. ³⁹ And when all the people saw it, they fell facedown and said, "The LORD, he is God. The LORD, he is God."

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, saying, O LORD God of Israel, who dwellest above the cherubim, thou alone art the God unto all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

²⁶ David built an altar to the LORD there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on the LORD; and he answered him from the sky by fire on the altar of burnt offering.

² But I have built you a house and home, a place for you to dwell in forever.”

¹ And when Solomon finished praying, then fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the house. ² The priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD's house. ³ When all the Israelites saw the fire come down and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they knelt down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loyal love is everlasting.

¹¹ And they sang, praising and giving thanks unto the LORD because he is good, for his mercy endures for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, praising the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

³ May He remember all your sacrifices, and accept your whole burnt offerings. Pause. ⁴ He will give you according to your heart, and fulfill all your plans.

¹ Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock, you who sit above the cherubim, shine forth.

³⁹ Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.”

⁹ When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever,
