1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.
2 and said unto Aaron, "Take a calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering: both without blemish, and bring them before the LORD."
3 "Tell the Israelites: 'Take a male goat as an offering for sin, a calf and a lamb, each one-year-old and without defects, as a burnt offering,
4 and an ox and a ram as fellowship offerings to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil, because today the LORD will appear to you."
5 They brought what Moses commanded before the Tent of Meeting. All the congregation came near and stood before the LORD.
6 Then Moses said, "This is the word that the LORD commanded you to do so that the glory of the LORD might appear to you."
7 Moses said to Aaron, "Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD commanded."
8 Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as his own offering for sin.
9 And the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him. And he dipped his finger into the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar. And the blood he poured upon the base of the altar.
10 On the altar he burned the fat, kidneys, and lobe of the liver from the offering for sin as the LORD commanded Moses.
11 The flesh and the hide one burned with fire outside the camp.
12 Then he slaughtered the burnt offering, and Aaron's sons brought the blood to him, and he sprinkled it on the altar all around;
13 They delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burned them upon the altar.
14 He washed the inward parts and the legs, and burned them on the burnt offering on the altar.
15 And then he brought the people's offering and took the goat that was the people's sin offering, and slew it and offered it for a sin offering: as he did the first.
16 And then brought the burnt offering and offered it as the manner was,
17 He also brought the grain offering. He took a handful of grain and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering.
18 He slaughtered the bull and the ram for the people's fellowship offering. Aaron's sons gave him the blood. He threw it against the altar on all sides.
19 And as for the fat portions from the ox and from the ram (the fat tail and the layer of fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver),
20 And they put the fat on the breasts, and he burned the fat on the altar.
21 Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh for a wave offering before Yahweh, as Moses commanded.
22 Then Aaron lifted his hand toward the people, and he blessed them, and he came down after sacrificing the sin offering and the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.
23 Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.
24 Fire came out from before the LORD, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

1 the LORD called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,
2 »Tell the Israelites: ‘When you bring an offering to the LORD, bring your offering of animals from the herd or the flock.
3 “'If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without defect. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD.
4 " 'He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering and it will be accepted for him in order to make atonement for him.
5 He must slaughter the young bull before the LORD, then Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the blood and sprinkle the blood all around the altar that is at the door of the tent of assembly.
6 He shall skin the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces.
7 The sons of Aaron the priest will put fire on the altar and arrange the wood on the fire.
8 Then Aaron's sons, the priests, will arrange the pieces of meat, the head, and the suet on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar.
9 but he shall wash its innards and its legs with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.
10 And if the offering be of the flocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.
11 He must slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD; then Aaron's sons, the priests, will sprinkle its blood all around the altar.
12 then they shall cut it in quarters and the priests shall lay these with the head and the suet on the wood which is on the fire on the altar;
13 But he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it on the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet smell to the LORD.
14 "'If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.
15 The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar;
16 He must remove its crop with its plumage and throw it to the east beside the altar on the place of the fatty ashes.
17 He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to the LORD.
Leviticus 8:18-21

19 and Moses slew the ram, and poured the blood against the altar round about.
20 and cut the ram in pieces and burnt the head, the pieces and the fat,
21 He washed the inward parts and the legs with water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

28 And shall come to know his sin: he shall offer a she goat without blemish.
29 and lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it in the place of burnt offerings.
30 And the priest shall take some of the blood with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar.
31 He must remove all of its fat just as the fat was removed from the fellowship offerings' sacrifice, and the priest shall turn it into smoke on the altar as an appeasing fragrance for the LORD. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.
Leviticus 9:3
3 "Tell the Israelites: 'Take a male goat as an offering for sin, a calf and a lamb, each one-year-old and without defects, as a burnt offering,
Numbers 28:1-29
1 The Lord also said to Moses:
2 »Instruct the Israelites to present to God at the appointed time the required food offerings that are pleasing to him.
3 Say to them, This is the offering made by fire which you are to give to the Lord; he-lambs of the first year without any mark, two every day as a regular burned offering.
4 Let one be offered in the morning, and the other at evening;
5 each with a grain offering of two pounds of flour, mixed with two pints of the best olive oil.
6 It is the regular ascent offering instituted at Mount Sinai for a fragrant odor, a fire offering, to the LORD.
7 and its drink offering, a fourth of a hin for the one lamb; pour a drink offering of strong drink to the LORD in the sanctuary.
8 "‘Offer the second lamb in the evening in the same way as the morning offering, together with its wine offering. It also is a food offering, an odor pleasing to the LORD.
9 “'On the Sabbath day, you shall offer two male lambs a year old without defect, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, and its drink offering:
10 This is the burned offering for every Sabbath day, in addition to the regular burned offering, and its drink offering.
11 “‘In the beginnings of your months, you shall offer a burnt offering to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect,
12 "'With each bull there will be a grain offering of twenty-four cups of flour mixed with olive oil, with each ram a grain offering of sixteen cups of flour mixed with olive oil.
13 "'With each one-year-old lamb a grain offering of eight cups of flour mixed with olive oil. This is a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.
14 And their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine to a bull, and the third of a hin to a ram, and a fourth a hin to a lamb. This is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.
15 "'In addition to the daily burnt offering with its wine offering, one male goat must be offered to the LORD as an offering for sin.
16 And the fourteenth day of the first month shall be Passover unto the LORD.
17 On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a feast; for seven days let your food be unleavened cakes.
18 In the first day shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work,
19 but you shall offer an offering made by fire, a burnt offering to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. They shall be without defect,
20 And their gift fine flour mingled with oil: three tenths for a bullock, and two tenths for the ram, ye shall do.
21 and eight cups for each of the seven lambs.
22 and one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you.
23 "‘Offer these in addition to the morning burnt offering.
24 In this way, every day for seven days, give the food of the offering made by fire, a sweet smell to the Lord: it is to be offered in addition to the regular burned offering, and its drink offering.
25 "'On the seventh day you must have a holy assembly. You must not do any regular work.
26 " 'And on the day of firstfruits, when you are presenting a new offering for the LORD during your Festival of Weeks, you will have a holy convocation; you will not do any regular work.
27 "‘Offer a burnt offering as an odor pleasing to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, and seven one-year-old male lambs, all without any defects.
28 And their grain offerings of flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah unto one bullock, two-tenths of an ephah unto one ram,
29 a tenth deal with each of the seven lambs;

Leviticus 9:12-14
12 Then he slaughtered the burnt offering, and Aaron's sons brought the blood to him, and he sprinkled it on the altar all around;
13 They delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burned them upon the altar.

Hebrews 10:1-22
1 The Law is only a shadow of the good things to come, not the realities themselves. It can never, by the same sacrifices offered year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
2 If it could, would not the offerings have ceased? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all and would no longer feel the guilt of their sins.
3 Instead, those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins,
4 because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll: I have come to do Your will, O God.’”
8 First He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them” (which are offered according to the Law),
9 Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second.
10 And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, "he sat down at the right hand of God."
13 from that time waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool.
14 Because by one offering he has made complete for ever those who are made holy.
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says:
16 “This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord. I will put My Laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.”
17 Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”
18 But where there [is] remission of these, [there is] no longer a sacrifice for sin.
19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body,
21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
Exodus 29:38-42
38 "This is what you shall offer on the altar continually: two one year old lambs each day.
39 "You shall offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,
40 and with the one lamb a tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil, and the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering.
41 "You will offer the other lamb at twilight. Offer it with the same grain offering and the same drink offering as in the morning, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.
42 It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you.
Leviticus 2:1-2
1 "'When anyone offers a grain offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it.

11 "'These are the instructions for the fellowship offering that you must bring to the LORD.

13 He shall offer his offering with the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving with cakes of leavened bread.
14 "'He will present one of every offering as a contribution to the LORD. It will belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.
15 The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of his offering. He shall not leave any of it until the morning.
16 "'If the sacrifice of his offering is a votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice as well as on the next day.
17 And what is left of the flesh of the sacrifice till the third day shall be burned with fire.
18 If any of the meat of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted, and it shall not be credited to him who offers it. It will be an abomination, and the soul who eats any of it will bear his iniquity.

16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which he put to death their enmity.

31 The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'.
32 "'You will also give the priest the right thigh as a contribution.
33 "'When any of Aaron's sons offer the blood and fat of the fellowship offering, the right thigh will belong to him as his share.
